Rachel’s POV

My mind raced as I followed J right into his room. I could feel Mira's gaze piercing into me like a sword. I knew Mr. Frank had deliberately announced it in front of her just to make her feel more hurt, and I felt so sorry for her for a minute.

In J’s room, I sat at the edge of the bed, playing with the tip of my fingers, my head lowered. Different thoughts ran through my head. The consummation. The auspicious seven days. The family rite. It looked as if my fate had been sealed.

Will I lose my virginity in this manner?

I had promised to do it with Jacob first. And how will I even explain what happened to him?
