“Why are you defending that man? He’s not your boss here, okay?” Doc said angrily.

“Let’s see,” he came closer to me and helped me sit down. I saw Blue’s angry look at what Doc did to me. He opened his medicine kit, which was on a small round table. Then he started cleaning my wound. “There, I’ve cleaned it,” he announced. “I think I need to come here every day to clean your wound.”

“Uh, Doc, you don’t need to do that,” I refused his offer.

“Actually, she doesn’t need your help, that’s why she’s not contacting you,” Blue interjected. “So I’ll just call another doctor to check and clean Heidi’s wound if she doesn’t want me to clean it out of respect for her,” he said. “Unlike you who’s holding her hand without permission. Can’t you see? She’s uncomfortable,” he said softly but fiercely.
