Chapter 7 : A name for Raine Stevens

"It's not that I am deciding against what you want, but "Raine you have a beautiful hair full of life, and the color is unique.why do you want to cut and color it? "

" I just want to try on some new styles." Together with her changeof identity she also wants to change her appearance without going under the blade, and her iconic flaming hair is the first thing that needs to go. 

"Why don't you try to use other options?"

" Like what?" 

" Like wigs, hair extensions, that way you can try other style and find what suit you.."

" Maybe that's  a good idea, I should try it first."  So Raine snd Giah shop for hair accessories, she also decided to use colored contact lenses to change the color of her eyes. She is not into too much make up because of the nature of her job,  She use to doll up on special occasion. When she lived together with Sandra ,who is a party animal she used to accompany her on her on her night outing Sandra who is a model was the total opposite of her, Raine  tends to spend time on her own or indulging in outdoor sports. While Sandra is happy being the center of attention and indulgings on spas and beauty salon.

The reason Raine thought that she didn't value their friendship. Is because they have different personality and interest. "Ahh Sandy I treated you like a sister, but you chose to betray me."  Raine think of the times when they truly have a good time was it all a pretense in her part just to have a free place to stay and food to fill her in those times when she was struggling to make a name?

How pathetic it was on Sandra's part putting up with the things she dislike about Lorraine just to take advantage of her kindness and Troy  she never expected him to fall for the seduction of Sandy. She recalls how he discouraged her about befriending Sandra Scott, and Sandy have that same opinion towards her boyfriend as well.  How was she to know that they are just taking her for a ride.

Although days after she caught them in the act there were endless call and messaging from Troy that she ignored and erase without reading.

A few days before the marriage he waited for her outside her apartment building trying to speak to her. 

"What do you want Troy Brimmer?' She asked him looking straight as if piercing his whole being.

"I just want to apologize for what happened."he said looking full of regrets. 

" Why do you feel sorry for cheating on me ? "

" I feel sorry for hurting you. "

" Six months is way too long for you to tell it to me first hand but you chose to let it dragg on until I saw it with my two eyes.  What if I haven't discovered it. You must be cheating on me for years or even after we get married? What it does make me Troy? Tell me! "

" I'm sorry Lorraine! "

" You take your apology with you! Don't bother me anymore I am getting married! "

" What! Why you! Do you love him or you were  just doing this to spite me. "

" You are just making yourself important, thinking I'm doing it out of spite! "

" So you love him how long have you been doing it behind my back, is he the reason you  refuse my advances telling that we have to wait. Saying that you want to be pure virgin bride? Huh virgin bride my foot! You are just your bestfriend  a liar. "

"Don't put me on the save league like yours, I never lied to you! "

" Then why? " he is almost tearful realizing he had let a good woman slipped from his hand just because he wasn't able to control his desires. 

'i don't think I owe you an explanation., because the day you started cheating on me, not once but repeatedly  you  forfeited that right . So go! You and Sandra deserve each other! As for being a liar? You speak for yourself. Because I never cheated on you."

What a creep Raine remembered her last confrontation with Troy.  It was quite devastating for her to realized that she had easily move on with her feelings for that man. So maybe Sandy was right after all. He isn't right for her or the other way around. Maybe it was best to say they were not right for each other.

Thinking back if she never caught them in the act maybe she would have not known her true feelings for Troy. The only thing that hurts is her ego of being betrayed. Wasn't true love supposed to be heartbreaking? She doesn't feel that way it was more heartbreaking for her to let go of her friendship with Sandy than her relationship with Troy.

She shook her head to erase everything behind her. "I have to focus on the future rather than crying over spilled milk." On this thought.  Raine with the help of Giah and her aunt put together her contracting office. It was difficult at the start but with her aunt influences on freinds in high places she slowly made the name Raine Stevens  synonymous with style and good quality.

 After a year she already began the second phase of her plan that is to claim what is rightfully hers.  With the financial  resources she have. It's only a matter of time she will go back to face the demons that prompted her to leave her home and everything she owns.

What she's worried about  is how she would face her husband after the two years.
