Chapter Twenty-eight

Kendrick's assistant scurried behind him as they left the conference room. He headed straight for the elevator and when he punched the buttons, she asked in a confused tone. "Sir, aren't you going back to the office. There are still contracts that need your signature."

Kendrick put both hands in his pants pocket and shook his head. "We're going to the construction site."

Rosslyn's brows settled into a frown and she scratched her head. "Remember it is not on your schedule today. You have also spoken to the architects already."

The elevator came to a stop at the parking lot and Kendrick walked out. "You can go back home, Rosslyn. Your work is done for today."

But she kept on following him and Kendrick stopped in his steps.
