Chapter 17

Anne woke up from her nightmare, sweating profusely, her pyjamas were completely soaked in sweat and she was burning hot despite the fact that it was not summer yet.

She knew something was definitely wrong, she only had that feeling when something was not right.

She shook in fear as she thought about her nightmare once again. She had dreamt about me, I was taken captive and extremely tortured and my captors were making fun of me because I was helpless and they derived joy in my pain. She tried to help but she couldn't till she woke up.

She took a moment to calm down after which she grabbed the curtains and pulled it aside, revealing the bright morning sun shining through the window. Her heart sank back deep into her chest and her eyes widened in shock at the sight before her.

"No! This can't be happening!" She yelled.

She hurriedly checked her bedside clock and was shocked at the time. She immediately sat up on the bed and rubbed her eyes, trying to shake off the weariness of sleep fr
