The drive to the office was as quiet as a graveyard, as both parties had nothing to say to each other throughout. Sorin had a lot going on in his head since he had to plan things out properly, while Kelvin, on the other hand, could not really understand why Sorin would want to divorce me when I did him no wrong. He had thought all Sorin needed was time and that with time he would warm up to me, but now, it seemed like he had been so wrong. It seemed as if he didn't know his friend anymore.

Finally, they got to the office and Sorin got to work but as Kelvin was about to leave the room, Sorin reminded him,

“Don't forget to do what I asked you to do.”

“What is that?” Kelvin asked him.

Sorin, who had started working on his computer, raised his head to look at Kelvin.

“Don't tell me you've forgotten already. I'm talking about the Divorce lawyer I asked you to get me! I need it done as soon as possible!”

“Oh, that…” Kelvin replied with a frown.

Kelvin led Sorin to the balcony at the topmost part of the building, where they could both have some privacy. Leaning on the railings, they stood in silence, the wind blowing around them, as they struggled to find words to break the awkward stillness between them.Frustrated by the awkward silence, Sorin finally decided to speak up. Staring at nothing in particular, his eyes unfocused, his voice laced with hurt and betrayal, he said, “How could you, Kelvin? How could you keep something as serious as this away from me? How could you betray me like this?”Taken aback, Kelvin frowned as his head snapped in Sorin's direction. “What are you talking about? Betray you? What do you mean by that? What did I do?” He asked curiously.“Oh, please don't act all ignorant. I know you're about to pretend like you don't know what I'm talking about, but I won't be fooled.” Sorin stated, his tone serious.“Well, I'm not pretending, but one thing I’m having issues with is the way you're acting all conce

Anne angrily turned to Kelvin, glaring dangerously at him as she said, “You did this, didn't you? How could you?”“Anne, calm down. I promise you, I know nothing about this.” He replied, quickly defending himself.“That's crap!” She snapped angrily. “So how did he know she was here if you had no hand in this?” “I don't know. Maybe he had someone to secretly trail me or something.” He stated, thinking of different possibilities. She scoffed, and narrowed her eyes as she asked, “And you expect me to believe that? Really?” “Please calm down, Anne.” He tried to ease up the tension, but she definitely wasn't in the mood to listen to him.“Don't tell me to calm down!” She snapped angrily.Watching everything unfold, the Doctor had to speak up, “I'm sorry to interrupt, but I'm quite confused. What is going on? Is anything the matter?” “It's nothing, Doc. It's just a misunderstanding.” Kelvin quickly responded.“What do you mean?” She glared at Kelvin. Speaking through gritted teeth, she

***LOS ANGELES***Still in his office, Sorin paced as he impatiently waited for news from Simon. He had given him thirty minutes to get back to him concerning the secret task he gave to him, yet hours had passed, and still Simon hadn't given Sorin a call yet.He yanked his tie loose, ripped it off, and flung it into the sofa with a frustrated gesture. He then stopped pacing, and began to tap angrily on his table as he thought of what to do.His office had become his second home since Daisy had refused to give him rest of mind, with threats on my life each time she noticed Sorin was acting distant to her.He believed staying away from her under the guise of “having too much work to do at the office” would help keep him sane. So, he would stay at the office till very late at night when he was sure she would be deep in sleep or sometimes, he would just pass the night at a hotel with the excuse that work was too hectic and too much to be abandoned. His phone suddenly rang, snapping him ou

“All this is happening because of him.” Anne said again, leaving the Doctor, who heard her clearly, confused.“Him?” The Doctor asked, unsure of what she was talking about. “Who is the person?”His eyes darted to Kelvin, “What is she talking about?”Before Kelvin could say anything, Anne tried to tell the Doctor the truth. “It's the same person that—”Kelvin cleared his throat loudly, cutting her off. She glared at him, but he held her hand firmly, and shook his head slowly. He turned to the Doctor, and said blankly, “It's nothing, Doc.”The Doctor furrowed his brow.“I mean, it's nothing you should be worried about.” Kelvin said again, also hinting to Anne not to say anything to the doctor about the actual cause of the situation at hand.Thankfully, she got the hint, and grunted in displeasure.“Are you sure though?” The doctor questioned further. “Because it looked like she really had something to say.”“Trust me, it's nothing.” Kelvin assured him, with his lip. curled into a slight

NEW YORK NEW GEN HOSPITAL Anne paced nervously in the waiting area of the VIP floor, her mind all over the place. It had been hours since we got to the hospital and I was wheeled into the emergency room. Her heart raced as she thought of the worst case scenarios. Every “what if” she could ever think of, sent cold shivers down her spine.“Anne?” A familiar voice called out to her and she turned around.“Kelvin!” She exclaimed, rushing to him, sobbing all over again. “I didn't think you would fly back in. Oh my goodness.”“I'm sorry I'm late. I came as soon as I could.” He apologized.Immediately he landed back in New York, wasting no time, he headed straight to the hospital. He held her in his embrace, gently patting her back, and assuring her as he kept saying, “It's okay. Please don't cry. I'm here now. You're not alone in this.”Thankfully, it was the VIP floor of the hospital, and there weren't a lot of people present, so they didn't have to bother about being watched by any secr

I had collapsed, and passed out.“Drea! Drea!” She screamed in horror as she rushed to me.Hearing Anne scream, Maggie, with another housekeeper rushed in to see what was going on.“Oh my goodness…” Maggie exclaimed, seeing Anne looking horrified, while I remained on the floor, almost lifeless.“Get the car right now!” Anne yelled at them, tears trickling down her face as she held onto me.The other housekeeper ran off, while Maggie stayed back with Anne to carry me all the way to the car. They hurriedly but gently placed me in the car and the driver zoomed out of the compound. And as they headed to the hospital, confused on what to do, Anne grabbed her phone and dialled Kelvin's number.“Pick up, Kelvin. Pick up your call.” Anne muttered amidst sobs, holding her phone to her ear.She hissed loudly as the phone made its last ring and wasn't picked up. She flung it to the footwell.“Be fast! We're running out of time. Step on it!” She yelled at the driver, who stepped on the gas, speed
