Thane made his way into the building with Tracy. They got to the entrance and the doors were locked which confused Tracy.

Thane pulled out a card with a QR code on it. He placed it on a scanner next to the door and it opened.

“That was scary,” Tracy muttered as they both walked in.

The room was filled with men and women dressed elegantly. The men were in black tuxedos while the women were in black dresses that screamed luxury.

Tracy understood why Alessa took her time to get her ready and why Thane was extra.

He looked around the room before walking towards a table with her.

“What are we doing here?” Tracy asked as they took a seat.

“Nothing, we are just attending the party,” he replied and Tracy rolled her eyes.

“That's not true. Of course, we are here for a reason.”

“Just try to keep up, Tracy. Try to.”

Alessa drove around the city without having a destination. She just needed to go on a long drive to clear her head.

  • The Billionaire’s Regret   Third Trial 2

After arguing and cursing at each other, they were at the table with a gun just like the other students. It was time for them to begin and they were all ready. The alarm sounded, signaling them to begin. Alessa and Jaxon placed their hands on the guns together. “Fucking leave it, I will do it,” Jaxon said as he tried to pull the gun from her but Alessa won't let go of it.“No, I will do it. I have the record of the best shooter. I am fast.” Alessa replied as she tried to pull it from him too.“The gun isn't even loaded yet.” Jaxon snapped at her. “You load the gun and I will shoot,” Alessa replied.“No, I will shoot. I have the best shot in my set.” Jaxon replied. At this point, other students were done shooting at their targets and were already on their way into the woods. “We need to hurry, asshole. We are the only ones here.” Alessa snapped at him. “It's your fault we haven't done anything.”“Idiot, it's your fault we are together.”“Don’t call me that!” Jaxon snapped at he

  • The Billionaire’s Regret   Third Trial

MORNING Alessa picked up the flash drive Thane gave her last night from the table and took a seat on the couch with her laptop in her hand. She tied her hair up in a rough bun as she folded her legs. “Okay, let’s see what this is about,” she muttered as she put in the drive. She accessed the files on the drive and was about to click on them when the door opened and Tracy walked in. She was still in her dress from last night. She looked at Alessa and sighed. “Don't get mad at Thane, I was the one who wanted to spend the night with him,” she said as she walked fully into the room. “I know, he told me. You got hurt too.” Alessa replied as she glanced at her arm. “Yeah.” Tracy sighed.“Thank you, Tracy,” Alessa said and she rolled her eyes.“Don't thank me, you still owe me so be prepared. What I am going to ask for will blow your mind,” she said and Alessa nodded before paying attention to her laptop. Tracy got curious and moved closer to her.“Is that the flash drive?” she aske

  • The Billionaire’s Regret   Thane & Tracy

Alessa walked out of the office and met Madam Olga at the entrance. Alessa bowed at her and hurriedly wiped her tears.“You did the right thing,” she said and Alessa sniffed as she nodded.“You should go get some rest. Your third trial is tomorrow.”“Thank you, ma’am,” Alessa replied and walked away. ~PRESENT “I just feel like I should be included in the plan, not just sit here and do nothing.” Tracy rolled her eyes for the umpteenth time as she asked Thane why they were at the party. Thane didn't give her a response, he ignored her as usual. Tracy huffed and decided to just enjoy the party. She noticed Thane’s eyes were focused on a man sitting two seats away from them then she got curious. “Is that him? Is that our target?” she whispered to him but got no response. He just kept a stern look and wouldn't even look at her. Tracy rolled her eyes at him and looked away. The party was coming to an end and still nothing happened. Tracy wasn't asking any questions again, she just w

  • The Billionaire’s Regret   Betrayed

Alessa slowly opened her eyes and looked around but she couldn't see anything due to how dark the room was. She tried to move but she groaned in pain. She stared down at herself and realized she was tied to a chair. Her eyes widened in shock and she tried to free herself but she couldn't. She recalled what happened with the ranked students. She decided to stay calm because it could be a test. She sighed and looked around again but it was still all dark. A light suddenly came on and she shut her eyes due to how bright it was. She slowly opened them back and realized the light was from a screen. A countdown suddenly came on and Alessa furrowed her brows wondering what was going on. The countdown was over and immediately, Bryan and Lydia appeared on the screen. It was a video of them at a party dancing happily. Alessa watched the video with mixed emotions. She was confused, terrified, and sad. Confused because she had no idea why she was watching this, terrified because she had

  • The Billionaire’s Regret   Two Months Later

“Great, we have four more questions to go,” Alessa said. Tracy sighed as she stared at the man with pity. He looked so much in pain as he cried. “What did you do?” Alessa asked as he breathed heavily. “I… I don't know, I... “ he trailed off and screamed as Alessa shot his arm. “Fuck.” Tracy cursed. “Stop doing that, what if someone hears him scream?” Tracy asked but Alessa ignored her. Alessa’s phone rang again and it was Damien calling. She stared at it for a few seconds as she thought about answering it. “Please, please spare me. I have a wife and a kid. They are… ““Oh, shut up.” Alessa scoffed and shot him in the head. He fell dead and Tracy flinched a little. She doesn't think she will ever get used to seeing Alessa kill people. “Give me your phone, Tracy,” Alessa ordered and Tracy threw it at her without asking questions. She wasn't ready to move closer to her and the bodies. Alessa picked up her call and with Tracy’s phone, she started to take pictures of the bodies.“
