Boundaries Tested

~ Elena ~

That morning, I found myself lingering in my room longer than usual. Sunlight poured in through the curtains, but I stayed put. My thoughts were a chaotic storm, swirling around the life I was living and the role I felt I had to play. Lately, it felt like my existence had been reduced to whatever Alexander wanted from me. Every look, every touch, every interaction seemed to revolve around him asserting his dominance, and I was beginning to feel a sense of bitterness creeping in.

Today, I decided it was time for a change. No more smiles just to please him, no more silent acceptance when he treated me like an object. I wouldn’t greet him. I wouldn’t answer his questions. I wouldn’t let him use me as a toy to satisfy some urge and then leave me behind in the aftermath.

When I heard his car pull into the driveway, I stood my ground. Instead, I walked over to the door, made sure it was locked, and took a deep breath. A flicker of defiance sparked within me. If he wanted my attention, he’d have to work for it.

A few minutes later, his voice echoed down the hallway. “Elena? Are you still hiding in there?” His tone was low but laced with irritation. “You’re going to get tired of this eventually.”

I stayed quiet. I kept pacing, pretending I didn’t care about his presence, even though my heart was racing a bit faster. Each step he took outside my door heightened my awareness of the tension that had built up between us over the past few weeks. I wasn’t scared of him; I just didn’t want to give up control anymore.

 ~ Alexander ~

The moment I stepped into the penthouse, I sensed something was off. The usual greeting, however minimal, was missing. I walked down the hallway, calling out her name, but all I got in return was silence.

When I reached her room, I noticed the door was locked. My hands balled into fists. “Elena,” I said through gritted teeth, “open this door.”

Her voice came through, hesitant, from behind the door. “I… I don’t want to.”

I inhaled sharply, feeling my patience start to wear thin. “Open it right now, Elena, or we’re going to have a problem.”

A long silence stretched out, and then I heard the faint sound of a lock clicking. When she finally opened the door, the sight of her tense yet proud only fueled the anger I’d been holding onto all day. My body reacted before my mind could catch up. I wanted to dominate the space between us, to express my intensity, my longing, my frustration.

“You’ll regret making me wait,” I whispered. Before she could respond, I took her hand, pulling her toward the bed, my voice low and commanding.

 ~ Elena ~

Before I could protest or fully grasp what was happening, he guided me to the bed, placing me down with a mix of gentleness and firmness. His eyes were dark, burning with an emotion I couldn’t quite place. My heart raced, not just from fear, but from the thrill, from the undeniable attraction I felt toward him despite everything.

He leaned over me, his presence overwhelming. “Next time, don’t lock the door,” he said as he ripped off my panties, quickly unbuckling his belt and thrusting into me with force, his hands exploring my body with a possessive touch. My breath hitched. A part of me wanted to resist, to push him away, but another part… couldn’t.

“Alex… please,” I whispered, my voice trembling, “I…” He silenced me with a look and thrust deeper. His hands traveled along my back, down to my hips, holding me tightly, pulling me closer to him.

 ~ Alexander ~

I felt her body responding beneath mine, subtle movements that mirrored my own desire. I didn’t hold back. I pressed forward, each thrust deliberate, building in intensity. She gasped, arching into me, and I pursued her, relentless, matching the rhythm of her reactions.

With every movement, I pressed down harder and deeper, letting my control mold the space between us. Her moans and whispered pleas only fueled my desire. Even after I reached my peak, releasing inside her, I didn’t pull away. I kept going, this time with more urgency, watching her ragged breaths, her hands gripping me tightly, her skin glistening with heat.

 ~ Elena ~

"Alexander… please…" I tried to speak, my voice shaky, but my words seemed to only ignite his passion further. Each movement, each thrust, pushed him deeper into me, leaving me feeling both overwhelmed and vibrantly alive, exhausted in a way I couldn’t quite put into words. My hands clutched the sheets, my body responding to every inch, every motion.

The intensity lingered, even after he reached climax. I felt drained yet still connected to him, unable to pull away. His dominance, while intense, offered a strange comfort, a reminder that I wasn’t invisible to him. He continued to thrust faster, each movement deeper than the last.

When he finally paused, I gasped for air, my body trembling, yet the tension remained like a live wire.

"Go shower," he commanded, his voice low and thick with desire.

I nodded, making my way to the bathroom, weary and trying to steady my steps against the fatigue that weighed me down. The water was soothing, warm against my heated skin, washing away the sweat but not the memory of him.

 ~ Alexander ~

I followed her quietly, giving her space, allowing her to feel in control, even though the tension in my body made patience difficult. I watched her for a moment, noticing how the water flowed over her, the slight shivers that revealed her sensitivity.

Then, I closed the bathroom door behind me. She tensed, and I felt a rush of satisfaction. I could see the mix of apprehension and anticipation in her eyes, even though she didn’t turn to face me. I approached her slowly, my hands moving to cup her breasts, pressing her against me, and she let out a soft sigh.

With a gentle nudge, I found myself right behind her, letting her sense every inch of me. She gasped softly, little sounds escaping her lips, each one pushing me to go further. The water poured over us, creating a soothing rhythm that matched our growing intensity.

 ~ Elena ~

I could feel him right behind me, strong and determined, and I couldn’t help but respond. Every touch, every press sent delightful shivers racing down my spine. The sensations were intoxicating, and I found myself gripping the shower rail for support, every muscle alive with anticipation.

His pace quickened, and the combination of water and his movements made everything feel more urgent. My breaths turned into ragged gasps, my hands clutched the tiles, my body pressed against him as he moved with an unyielding, consuming energy.

 ~ Alexander ~

I could feel her body tighten, respond, and quiver beneath me. Every moan, every silent plea reflected in her eyes, pushed me further. I adjusted myself behind her, and each thrust became more intense, deeper, faster, as the water flowed over us in perfect harmony with our movements.

Finally, I lifted her from the shower, carrying her back to the bed, our bodies slick and glistening. She collapsed beneath me, exhausted and trembling, and I held her close, letting her catch her breath while I lingered above her, savoring the intimacy and power of the moment. I continued until I found my release inside her.

 ~ Elena ~

Lying there, completely spent, I felt a strange mix of relief and lingering tension. My body ached from desire and exertion, my mind swirling from everything that had just happened. He hovered over me for a few moments, his presence both overwhelming and comforting.

Eventually, he leaned back, giving me space to process the whirlwind of emotions and sensations, and stepped away. I lay there, still trembling, my body sticky with water and sweat, but my mind slowly beginning to settle.

For the first time in what feels like forever, I realized that, against all odds, I was still me. I had pushed through, faced challenges head-on, and truly felt alive. And maybe, just maybe, I could navigate this complex, overwhelming connection with him without completely losing who I am.

~ Elena ~I barely had a moment to collect myself from the first set of photos before Alexander came in again. This time, his voice was colder, sharper, slicing through the room.“There’s more,” he said, tossing another folder onto the desk. My stomach dropped as I saw the new set of images spill across the polished surface. And there he was.Not just me—me, vulnerable, asleep. And beside me… someone I recognized. Someone Alexander knew. Someone I at least had never suspected. My chest constricted. I wanted to throw myself at him, to explain… but Alexander didn’t wait for me.“This… this is impossible!” I gasped. “Alexander, it isn’t true! You have to believe me—”He didn’t.My blood ran cold when I saw the next picture of him lying next to me with his arms spread out as though we were... and the floor. It was impossible to ignore the evidence. Disbelief, pain, and finally rage flashed through Alexander's eyes. My heart nearly stopped when the man, who was Alexander's acquaintance, e

  • The Billionaire's Regret    Chapter Seventeen

~ Elena ~I didn't hear Alexander enter. Not until the penthouse was shattered like a whip by the click of the study door. He held a small stack of photographs and stood tall and unforgiving. His eyes burned into me, cold and piercing, but his face was unreadable. "What is this?" He spoke in a low, nearly controlled voice, but each word had impact. I went cold. My stomach turned over. In an attempt to calm the chaos inside of me, my hand automatically went to my chest. Alexander flung the pictures onto the desk. One, two, three... I was unable to count. And I was there. Not just me, but me exposed, defenseless, and devoid of all honor. Some of the pictures were too private and intimate. Some were blurry, but enough to hint at what Alexander would detest most. "No." I reached for them and whispered. "Alexander, this isn't—" He extended a hand. “Don't. Don't talk. Not just yet.” My chest tightened and my pulse thundered. Every picture made my insides twist like a knife. "How...

  • The Billionaire's Regret    Chapter Sixteen

Chapter Sixteen~ Elena ~After her performance at the table, Victoria stayed. She lingered, drinking coffee that had not been offered to her, her perfume settling into the air like unclean smoke. I excused myself first because I was out of breath. I was vibrating inside, but my steps were calm. I could sense Alexander's silence cutting deeper than words could, and that folder had been a carefully placed blade between us. I forced my lungs to fill, leaning against the wall for a moment in the hallway. I wished he hadn't taken her seriously. I wanted to think that the hand he raised to silence her was evidence that he still had some affection for me, if not allegiance. However, Alexander never raised his hand arbitrarily. He kept her quiet because he wanted to see me break without her interference. He wanted the evidence to do its work.I pushed off the wall, straightened, and told myself not to give either of them the satisfaction. When I stepped back toward our bedroom, Marcus app

  • The Billionaire's Regret    Chapter Fifteen

~ Elena ~Alexander was not softened by the morning sun. It made him more angular. He was already business-dressed when I walked into the dining room, his cufflinks gleaming in the sunlight, his eyes as icy as the steel of the skyline behind him. I was a king prepared for battle, but the battlefield was me. I waited for him to say something first. He didn't. The sound of his knife scraping against the plate was slow and deliberate, and it irritated my skin more than words could. The silence broke when I forced myself to take a sip of water, but it wasn't him. Victoria's voice purred from the doorway, "Good morning, Mrs. Drake." I jerked my head up. She appeared as though she was a part of our house, my home. Lips painted in, perfectly composed in a shade that mocked subtlety. I felt my pulse stutter, but I masked it with a calm smile.Alexander didn’t even look surprised.“I invited her,” he said, finally setting down his knife. His tone was cool, casual—too casual. “She came wit

  • The Billionaire's Regret    Chapter Fourteen

~ Elena ~ I didn't get any sleep. Not by any means. As though it had its own pulse, the envelope burned against my skin where I had tucked it inside the clutch's lining. I was tense at every change in the wind outside and every creak of the penthouse. I kept playing back the words from the rooftop, wondering if I had just entered a trap or an alliance. However, there was no doubt in my mind that I could no longer afford to hesitate. Alexander's suspicion tightened around me like a net, and if I didn't initiate contact first, I would eventually suffocate. I was still sitting at the window at dawn, watching the city come to life. I carefully unfolded the envelope. One piece of paper. A name. A time. A warning. My breath caught, sharp and shallow.Whoever gave me this….they weren’t bluffing.I folded it again quickly and shoved it deep into the lining. My heart beat steady now, a different rhythm than fear—it was resolve.Today, I would have to play better.~ Alexander ~She hadn't s

  • The Billionaire's Regret    Chapter Thirteen

I released a slow breath I hadn't realized I was holding the envelope as I slipped back into the elevator, clutched tight in my hand. As the car went down, the lights of the city flickered by, but I was not thinking about the streets below. My mind replayed every word the figure had said on the rooftop, each one like a puzzle piece I needed to put together. The sharp edge of anticipation persisted even though my pulse had calmed into a steady rhythm by the time I got to my floor. I moved stealthily into the hallway, keeping Marcus and other people out of my line of sight. The penthouse was dark, with the table lamps' gentle glow serving as the only source of light. Everything appeared serene, almost at ease. A deceptive calm.I moved into the bedroom and closed the door behind me, leaning against it for a moment as if to gather the weight of what had just happened. The envelope was still in my hand. I placed it on the bed and sat down, fingers brushing over the seal. My heart beat fa
