Chapter Eleven

"I think I am pregnant," Tia said to Hera. She took in a deep breath and closed her eyes in prayer as she said it. It felt different to say it, it felt so real. Like the child was really in her stomach, living and depending on her.

"What do you mean? I thought you said you saw your period?" Hera asked. She was clearly panicking.

"I thought I saw my period, but it was barely there. So I took home tests, I took five. Three were positive," Tia told her friend.

"Home tests are not very reliable. but I am scared Hera. I am so scared. I want to do a blood test but my father is restricting my movement. Would I only know if I am pregnant when my stomach starts to swell?" Tia asked. She was panicking.

"Just relax Tia. Relax, you might not be pregnant. Are you experiencing any nausea?" Hera asked and Tia frowned from the other side of the phone.

"Are you a doctor Hera? I had three positive tests, 3/5. How do I deal with that?" Tia asked. She was so stressed out.
