(Kim's Point of View)

(MONTHS LATER)

"Are you worried?" I looked across at Arthur, who was seated in his wheelchair between Lucas and me in the doctor's office.

He shook his head at my question. "No," he retorted blatantly.

When I looked at Lucas, he gave me a reassuring nod. I felt like I was being pricked with needles Even if they weren't anxious.

Arthur's heart health had deteriorated in recent weeks, and after much convincing, he had consented to the heart transplant, but I couldn't help but be concerned as we waited for the doctor.

I'd heard about heart transplants and how dangerous they could be.

I groaned and waited, and after ten minutes, the door opened and Dr. Charlie strolled in with a few papers. He smiled at us.

"Good to see you again, Mr. and Mrs. Rodriguez," he said as he approached his seat. "I apologize for keeping you waiting; you see, I was getting Mr. Rodriguez's test results ready," he said as he sat down.

"What did they say?" Lucas beat me to it and we all looked
