LOGINTHE BILLIONAIRE'S REVENGE BRIDE
CHAPTER 12: LILY'S GAME Adrian POV I was in my office, working late, when my secretary knocked. "Mr. Cole, Miss Lily Carter is here to see you. She says it is urgent." I frowned. "Lily? Let her in." Lily walked in wearing a short red dress, too much perfume, and a smile that did not reach her eyes. She closed the door behind her. "Adrian," she said softly, sitting on the edge of my desk. "We need to talk." "Talk about what?" I asked, not looking up from my papers. "About Mia," she said. "Mia does not love you. She is using you. She only married you to make Daniel jealous. Once she gets her revenge, she will leave you." I finally looked up at her. "Lily, I do not have time for games." She moved closer. "I am not playing. I know Mia. She is my sister. I know her heart. She does not love you. But I... I could love you. I can give you what she cannot. A real wife. A woman who truly wants you." She tried to touch my hand. I pulled it away. "Lily," I said, my voice cold. "Get out." She did not move. "Adrian, please-" I stood up. "Get out. If you come here again, I will show the world the video of you and Daniel stealing money from Mia. I have the bank records. I have everything. Do you understand?" Lily's face went pale. Her smile disappeared. She grabbed her bag and ran out of the office. I thought it was over. It was not over. As she left, she brushed past me quickly. I did not notice what she did. Until I got home. Mia POV That night, Adrian came home late. He looked tired. I went to hug him, to welcome him home, like I always did now. Then I saw it. On his white shirt collar, there was a red mark. Lipstick. Lily's shade of red. My heart stopped. All the air left my lungs. Adrian saw my face. "Mia, what is wrong?" I pointed at his collar. "What is that?" He looked in the mirror. His eyes widened. "Mia, it is not what you think. Lily came to my office today. She tried to seduce me. I threw her out. She must have left this there on purpose." I did not shout. I did not cry. I just felt very cold inside. I took a deep breath. "Adrian, if you want her, tell me. I will sign the divorce papers. I will not beg you to stay. I did that once with Daniel, and I will never do it again." Adrian grabbed my hand. His grip was strong. Desperate. "Mia, look at me," he said. "I do not want her. I have never wanted her. I have never wanted anyone except..." He stopped. His mouth opened, but the words would not come out. Except what? Except who? My heart was beating so fast. "Except who, Adrian? Tell me." He looked at me. His eyes were soft. Not the cold billionaire's eyes. The eyes of a man who was afraid to say the truth. "Except you," he whispered. "I have never wanted anyone except you." I froze. He took a step back, as if he was scared of what he had just said. He cleared his throat. "I... I mean... as a partner. As my wife in the contract." But I knew. He did not mean the contract. He meant for real. I smiled, tears in my eyes. "Adrian, take off that shirt. It has Lily's poison on it. I will burn it." He laughed, a little nervously. "Burn it?" "Yes," I said. "Because from now on, the only lipstick allowed on your shirt is mine." He looked at me, surprised, then he smiled. A real, warm smile. That night, Lily's plan failed. She wanted to break us. Instead, she made us say the truth we had been hiding for weeks. Adrian did not want Lily. He wanted me.THE BILLIONAIRE'S REVENGE BRIDE CHAPTER 14: THE ATTACK Mia POV That morning, the sky was grey. Not dark. Just grey, like something bad was about to happen. Adrian had already left for work. He kissed my forehead before he left, like he always did now. It was a small kiss. A husband kiss. Not a contract kiss. "Drive carefully," he said. "Call me when you reach Sophia's house." "I will," I said. "Don't worry." I got into my car. I turned on the music. I was going to see Sophia. She wanted to help me pick a dress for the next party. I was driving on the quiet road near our house when I saw it in my mirror. A black car. No plate number. It was driving too close behind me. I tried to speed up. It sped up too. I tried to slow down. It came closer. My heart started beating fast. "What is this?" Then, BANG! The black car hit my car from behind. Hard. My car shook. My hands slipped on the steering wheel. I screamed. BANG! Again. Harder this time. My car went off the road. It h

Every rich person in the city would be there.Adrian looked at the invitation and sighed. "We have to go. If we don't go, people will say our marriage is falling apart."I nodded. "We will go. Together."That night, I wore a black dress. Simple. Elegant. Not too much. Adrian wore a black suit. When he saw me, he stopped for a second."You look beautiful," he said quietly."You look handsome too," I said, smiling. We arrived at the gala, hand in hand. Cameras flashed everywhere. People whispered."There is Mrs. Cole!""She is so beautiful!""Is their marriage real?"Inside, the hall was full of lights and music. Daniel and Lily were there too. Lily wore a red dress again. Daniel wore a suit that looked too big for him.I tried to ignore them. I held Adrian's hand tighter. Then a reporter came to us with a microphone

CHAPTER 11: THE WAR BEGINSAdrian POVThe war started on Monday morning at 9am sharp.I sat in my office, on the 40th floor, looking down at the whole city. My lawyer stood beside me with a folder."Do it," I said.He nodded and made one phone call.By 9:15am, I owned 10% of Carter Group.By 10am, Richard Carter was calling me. I let it ring. Then I hung up.By 11am, the news was everywhere: "Adrian Cole Buys Into Carter Group! Is This A Takeover?"Richard called again. This time I answered."Adrian, what do you think you are doing?" he shouted. "That is my company!"I smiled coldly. "Not anymore, father-in-law. It is our company now. You should get used to seeing my name on your board."I hung up.I felt good. I had waited ten years for this moment. Ten years of planning. Ten years of hating. But then I looked at the photo on my desk. It was not the old photo of my father and Richard. It was a new photo. Mia and me at the gala, kissing for the cameras. And suddenly, I did not feel so
CHAPTER 10: THE FAMILY DINNERMia POVThe invitation came the next morning.A white envelope, with gold letters. From the Carter family."Mr. and Mrs. Richard Carter request the pleasure of your company for a Family Dinner. Saturday, 7pm."Martha handed it to me. "Mrs. Cole, are you going to go?"I looked at Adrian. He was reading the invitation over my shoulder."It is a trap," he said simply. "Your father does not invite people for dinner. He invites them for war.""I know," I said. "But if we don't go, he will say we are afraid. We have to go."Adrian nodded. "Then we go together. And we do not let go of each other's hand. Not once."On Saturday night, we arrived at the Carter house. My old house.I had lived there for twenty-four years. But when I stepped out of the car, it felt like a stranger's house.Adrian held my hand tightly. "Remember. Smile. You are the queen. They are small people."We walked in.The dining room was beautiful. Candles. White tablecloth. Expensive wine. Ev
CHAPTER 9: THE SECOND DOCUMENTMia POVI could not forget the photo.Richard and James - Brothers forever. 1998.If my father and Adrian's father were best friends, brothers even, then everything Adrian told me was a lie. Or everything he believed was a lie. That night, I could not sleep. Adrian was in the shower. The sound of the water gave me courage.I walked quietly into his study. It was dark, clean, and cold. Just like him when he wanted to hide something.I opened the drawers one by one. Most of them were empty, or filled with normal company papers. Then I found one drawer that was locked. My heart started beating fast. Why would Adrian lock one drawer in his own house?I took a hairpin from my hair and tried to open it. My hands were shaking. After three tries, it clicked open.Inside was not money. It was not jewelry. It was a single document, folded carefully, as if someone had read it a thousand times. It was a will.I opened it and read it slowly."I, Richard Carter, leave
