Bella's POV

This Godforsaken room was starting to irritate me, and I couldn't bear one more second in here. Hours had passed since Cole, my supposed husband, had left the room.

The silence in the room gnawed at me, and my heartbeat throbbed in my skull. I lay back against the pillows, staring up at the ceiling tiles, counting the tiny holes as if they might unlock something. But no matter how hard I tried, my memories refused to surface. Everything was still blank.

A vibration startled me.

I turned my head and noticed a phone sitting on the bedside table. The screen was cracked, shattered in a spiderweb pattern, but it still lit up through the damage.

MISSED CALL. Bri (12)MISSED CALL. Bri (8)MISSED CALL — Bri (4)

I frowned. I didn’t know anyone named Bri, at least none that I can remember.

My fingers trembled slightly as I picked up the phone. The moment the cracked screen hovered in front of my face, it unlocked automatically. My throat tightened.

So it’s definitely mine.

Eric's POVBella stood in the middle of my office like she wasn’t sure where to place herself, her eyes scanning the bookshelves, the dark wood, the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city. Her fingers brushed the edge of my conference table, then my couch, lingering on every surface like she was searching for anything to help with her memories but finding none. But she was familiar to me.Painfully so.She was the only thing in the room I couldn’t ignore, the only thing I hadn’t been able to ignore for years.I cleared my throat softly. “You want a drink?”She turned to me with a small smile. “Yes. Please.”I nodded and walked to the bar cabinet at the corner of the room. She followed me with her eyes, her hands clasped in front of her, posture uncertain, almost shy. It was something Bella had never been before the accident.I poured whiskey into two glasses, glancing at her again. She had gone to sit at my desk, on my chair, actually—spinning it once slowly with a thoughtful e

  • The Billionaire's Secret Baby After Divorce   Chapter 92: The Distraction

Bella's POVI spent far too much time in front of my mirror trying to decide on what to wear. Eventually, I picked a soft cream-colored dress that didn’t cling too tightly, paired it with a light cardigan, and sandals.I had a driver take me to the restaurant, but the moment I stepped outside and saw Eric leaning against his car in the restaurant parking lot, scrolling his phone, looking effortlessly handsome, I regretted not choosing something prettier. He looked up. And goodness me... his smile. It was subtle, but it hit me like a warm breeze moving through a cold room.“There you are,” he said, pushing off the car and walking toward me. “You look… really good.”I felt my cheeks heat. “Thanks.”He opened the door for me, and I found myself smiling again as we walked inside together. The restaurant was quiet except for the soft music drifting through the air, and Eric chose a table in the back, away from everyone else. When we sat down, he rested his arms on the table and stared at m

  • The Billionaire's Secret Baby After Divorce   Chapter 91: A Heart Out Of Place

Bella's POVI sat across from the woman Cole had hired. Dr. Elara Winslow, supposedly one of the best cognitive-memory rehabilitation specialists in the country, and while she was sitting across from me, I tried my best not to look as uncomfortable as I felt. She had chosen for us to stay in a bright room for the session. A small recorder blinked red between us, the soft pulse taunting me. I shifted on the couch, tugging my sweater closed around my ribs.“Alright, Bella,” she said softly, crossing one leg over the other. “Let’s begin where you left off. You mentioned feeling… disoriented waking up this morning?”Disoriented. That was one word for it. Terrified was another.I nodded slowly. “I—yes. I woke up from a dream. Or… memory. I’m not sure which.”“Describe what you recall.”I inhaled deeply, feeling my throat tighten. “I was… talking on the phone. I don’t know to whom. But I was angry. I kept saying the child was in their custody. And that they needed to stop calling me. That a

  • The Billionaire's Secret Baby After Divorce   Chapter 90: Her Heart On My Mind

Eric's POVAfter Sarah had left the room to check on Rose after we had s*x, she returned, and we went for another round. The room was still warm with the fading heat of bodies, but my mind wasn’t in it anymore.Sarah lay lazily across the bed, sheets tangled around her legs, humming to herself as sunlight spilled across her skin. She looked satisfied and relaxed.Meanwhile, I stood in front of the wardrobe, pulling on a crisp white shirt with hands that felt too tight, and too tense.Because the whole time… The whole damn time, I had been thinking of Bella. Her voice. Her face. The way she’d looked at me yesterday in the restaurant, soft in a way she never used to be with me.Guilt crawled down my spine.I buttoned the shirt too roughly, fumbling the last button.Behind me, Sarah’s voice floated up casually. “She said ‘Mommy’ yesterday.”I froze. It took a full two seconds for my brain to catch up. “Who?”“Rose,” she said, like it was obvious. My heart twisted sharply.I turned slight

  • The Billionaire's Secret Baby After Divorce   Chapter 89: Being With Her But Thinking Of You

Eric's POVIt was Friday morning, and I was just half awake. I had spent the whole of my night thinking, fantasizing, or dreaming—if that's the best word for it—about Bella. The time we spent together at the restaurant was heartwarming since we had divorced. It got me thinking about her in ways I shouldn't.Before I opened my eyes all the way, I could tell I was hard. And this wasn't just my morning wood. It was different. Still not wanting to open my eyes, I rolled from my side onto my back. My dick pressed against my shorts as it begged to be released. It was then that I felt a hand rubbing the underside of my dick. The hand cupped my balls lightly, stroking up and down on the fabric of my shorts.I thought for sure I was still dreaming, but I didn't want it to stop. I smiled, my eyes still closed, still believing this to be a dream. When I felt the covers get pulled off and someone moving on my bed. I opened my eyes to see someone crawling away from me down my right side. She was w

  • The Billionaire's Secret Baby After Divorce   Chapter 88: The Dreams

Bella's POVI had fallen deep into sleep and was now dreaming. But these weren’t soft dreams, no comforting haze. They were sharp with loud voices cutting through the darkness like glass. My voice. Eric’s voice. The images didn’t have faces. Just silhouettes, and just words.“I said what I said,” I hissed in the dream—no, in the memory. “You will NEVER see her. Not now, not ever.”My tone was cold and hard. Nothing like the woman I felt like now. I felt empty, confused, and terrified of my own mind.Eric’s reply wasn’t clear. I couldn’t hear his words, just the rumble of his anger. But I knew deep inside myself that I had hurt him. Badly.Another flash. Another memory that felt like a blade slicing through fog.The ringing of a phone. My voice again, strained this time, irritated.“Stop calling me,” I snapped. “I told you already, I’m not coming there.”Silence on the other end, but I felt the pressure of someone pleading, someone begging.“She’s in your custody,” I said. “The child i
