Alejandro’s POV

The boardroom feels colder than usual. Not because of the air conditioning. Because every smile around the table feels carefully measured, as though everyone has already decided to watch before choosing a side.

I place my folder on the polished table. “Good morning.” A few directors answer. Others simply nod.

Victor arrives exactly on time carrying nothing except a leather notebook and an easy smile. “Morning, everyone.” His voice is calm. Warm. Relaxed.

  • The Billionaire's Sixty-Day Wife   CHAPTER 86

Alejandro’s POVThe ballroom hasn’t recovered from the anonymous note. Neither have I. The small card now rests inside my jacket pocket, and somehow those five words feel heavier than every financial report waiting back at Vega.Sophia was here that night. I glance toward Camila. She tries to smile at another guest. It doesn’t quite reach her eyes. “You okay?” I ask quietly. She nods a little too quickly. “I will be.”“You don’t have to pretend with me.” A small sigh escapes her. “I know.” Before I can say anything else, the orchestra pauses. The entrance doors slowly open. Every conversation inside the ballroom fades.Someone important has arrived. I don’t need anyone to tell me who it is. Isabella Hart walks inside as though the entire evening belongs to her. Elegant black gown. Diamond earrings. Perfect posture. Perfect smile.Nothing about her suggests she’s worried. Nothing suggests she’s carrying secrets. She simply walks forward as cameras immediately begin flashing. Dylan quie

  • The Billionaire's Sixty-Day Wife   CHAPTER 85

Camila’s POVThe ballroom glows beneath thousands of crystal lights. Live violins drift through the air while elegantly dressed guests laugh over champagne, and for one strange moment it almost feels impossible that secrets and conspiracies exist outside these walls.I smooth my evening gown one last time. “…Is this too much?” Alejandro looks up from adjusting his cuff links. For several long seconds… he doesn’t answer.I tilt my head. “…Alejandro?” He blinks as though waking from a dream. “What?” “I asked if this dress is too much.” His eyes slowly travel back to mine. “…I honestly don’t know what color it is.”I stare at him. “You’ve been looking at me this whole time.” “I have.” “And you didn’t hear a single word.” “I didn’t.” Heat immediately rushes into my cheeks. “You’re impossible.”He smiles quietly. “I’ve been trying to remember how to breathe for the last minute.” I laugh and lightly tap his arm. “Stop saying things like that.” “I’m trying.” “No, you’re not.” “No.”He grins.

  • The Billionaire's Sixty-Day Wife   CHAPTER 84

Alejandro’s POVBy eleven o’clock at night, my office no longer looks like the office of a CEO. It looks like accounting exploded and nobody survived.Financial reports cover the conference table. Old ledgers are stacked beside the windows. Receipts. Invoices. Audit logs. Three empty coffee cups. Half a pizza.Dylan stares at the mountain of paperwork. “…I’m beginning to understand why accountants always look tired.” I don’t look up from the ledger in my hands. “They know too much.”“They absolutely do.” He reaches for another slice of pizza. “I used to think surgery was the most dangerous profession.” I raise an eyebrow. “And now?” He waves a financial report in the air. “Accounting.”I laugh quietly. “That’s a new one.” He nods seriously. “Surgeons find broken bones.” He points toward the stacks around us. “Accountants find broken billionaires.” I shake my head. “You’re impossible.”“I’ve accepted that.” The clock quietly ticks past midnight. Outside, the city lights shimmer through

  • The Billionaire's Sixty-Day Wife   CHAPTER 83

Camila’s POVThe shouting starts before I even reach the hospital entrance. Camera flashes explode through the glass doors while reporters crowd the sidewalk, each microphone pushing higher than the next as though whoever shouts loudest owns the truth.I stop walking. “…Again.” Karen looks outside through the glass and lets out a long sigh. “I swear they breed overnight.”Brian joins us carrying two coffees. “What happened now?” Karen pulls out her phone. “They’re calling Camila a gold digger again.” Brian blinks. “…Seriously?”Karen turns the screen toward him. One headline stretches across the page. Nurse Manipulates Billionaire CEO For Fortune. Brian snorts. “They’re really running out of creativity.”I fold my arms. “I haven’t even had breakfast.” “They’re accusing you on an empty stomach.” “I know.” Karen gently touches my shoulder. “You don’t have to go through the front entrance.”I shake my head. “I have patients waiting.” Brian immediately points toward the doors. “Then we es

Relaxed.Like today’s meeting is just another routine discussion. Dylan leans toward me before Victor sits down. “…He scares me more when he’s cheerful.”I keep my eyes on the agenda. “I noticed.” “He smiles like someone who already knows the ending.” I almost smile. “Focus.”“I am.” He straightens his tie dramatically. “I’m focusing on surviving.” The meeting begins. Quarterly reports. Manufacturing updates. Research budgets.Everything moves normally. Too normally. Victor waits. He doesn’t interrupt once. He lets every depart

  • The Billionaire's Sixty-Day Wife   CHAPTER 81

Camila’s POVThe hospital feels almost normal again. Nurses hurry through the corridors with clipboards, visitors gather quietly outside patient rooms, and somewhere down the hallway Brian argues with the vending machine.“It stole my money again.” Karen doesn’t even look up from her chart. “It steals your money every Tuesday.”“That’s because it hates me.” “It hates everyone equally.” I laugh as I walk past them. Brian immediately points at me.“Camila, tell Karen I’m the victim.” I glance at the blinking vending machine. “…Did you press the button?” He pauses. “…Eventually.”Karen sighs. “I rest my case.” Before Brian can defend himself again, the elevator doors slide open. A tall man steps out carrying an elegant bouquet of white lilies.Victor. He smiles warmly the moment he sees me. “Camila.” I return the smile politely. “Good morning.”“I hope I’m not interrupting.” “Not at all.” He lifts the flowers slightly. “I came to visit Maria.” I blink in surprise. “You did?”He nods. “I

  • The Billionaire's Sixty-Day Wife   CHAPTER 1

Camila's POV"I want you to be my wife for sixty days."For a second, I honestly think I've misheard him.Maybe the air conditioning in this ridiculously expensive conference room is too loud. Maybe exhaustion is finally catching up to me after three consecutive double shifts and months of survivin
