Birthday Blues

As Wayne Blackstone looked down at his guests from his balcony, he realized that he wasn’t really in the birthday mood. He was supposed to be down there now with them, enjoying his twenty ninth birthday and getting drunk with his friends. But instead, he was up here sulking like a jilted lover and he didn’t even know why.

He had decided to have a private pool party at his multibillion dollar estate this year instead of something really extravagant. He didn’t party in all the continents like he did last year or host a game week at one of his islands; like he did for his twenty fifth birthday.

He simply decided to be low-key this year and had sent out invitations to only sixty of his friends and they were currently having more fun at his party than he was. Wayne could see some of them floating around in the pool and others simply playing some games nearby. Perhaps he shouldn’t even have held this party after all. What was the point if he wasn’t going to interact with his guests?

They had brought a ton of gifts as usual and he had spent a few polite minutes downstairs thanking them, before he had retreated upstairs. Winifred had tried to follow him and he had simply shut her down, he wasn’t in the mood for her artificial laughter tonight.

He wasn’t even sure why he had invited her; maybe it had been a moment of weakness, plus she had sent that text to him two nights ago.

“Dearest Waynie, I am currently in town and absolutely bored. Please include me for any plans you have for your birthday. Save this pretty damsel, before she perishes from lack of excitement.”

He had decided to just let her come and hoped that she did not view him as a form of excitement. Winifred Crest had been an ex of his and they had dated for about a year until he had gotten tired of the fake life she seemed to live; and there was that little issue of her cheating on him. All she cared about were appearances and always proving that she was better than anyone else.

She was spending all of her daddy’s money and there was plenty of it to go around; with him being a tycoon. She could never shut up about how expensive her purse was or how much she spent on a shopping spree in Greece; just thinking about it now made him shudder with disgust.

Why had he put up with it for so long? Was it because she was really beautiful with a magnificent shape? Had he really been that horny to put up with that amount of shallowness? He was kind of grateful to her for sleeping with one of his buddies; it had made the breakup so much easier; and less of his fault.

Wayne knew that William Golden wanted him to marry his daughter and he was glad that he had successfully dodged that bullet. Was he simply saying all this because his heart had been a little wounded when he had caught her in bed with Richard?

He didn’t want to dwell on all that now, today was his birthday and he wasn’t going to allow thoughts of Winifred upset him.

“Isn’t it about time that stripper got here?” Wayne wondered out loud.

He found himself actually looking forward to the private show. It was funny that the only wish he had wanted for his birthday was a stripper. What else could he have thought of? He had everything that money could buy, so why not treat himself to the view of an unfamiliar set of boobs?

He had asked a few friends in town and they had recommended “Cinnamon” from The Pink Glass. They had told him that she was one of the sexiest girls they had ever seen; and if he really wanted a stripper at his party, he should hire her.

If this had been like his previous mega parties, he would have hired the usual ones from Brazil, but he wasn’t in the mood for that this year. His guests didn’t even know a stripper was coming because he technically hadn’t hired her for the party; but for his personal viewing pleasure.

He should have invited only the stripper and cancelled this party. But he couldn’t drive his friends away now, so they might as well have their fun and leave when they were ready. He knew that those who were too drunk to drive would stay over and he didn’t mind. It was better to have them sleep over than an accident on his conscience.

Were they really his friends or just acquaintances he had barely a few things in common with?

Where the hell is that stripper? If she didn’t come soon, he was going to join the party downstairs so he could focus his mind on other things and stop overthinking.

He heard someone politely clear his throat behind him and turned around to find that it was his head of security; Tom Sandi.

Tom had been working for him for the past eight years and he trusted him with his life. Tom was a bald thirty five year old ex-soldier with steely black eyes. He was six feet three inches tall and had thick muscles covering almost every part of his body. Wayne had maximum respect for him.

“Sir, Cinnamon is here.”

“Finally, take her up to exclusive guest room, I will be there soon.”

“Yes Sir,” Tom said as he nodded and then walked out.

As Rose stood in the exclusive guest room, she was really second guessing her decision to do this; especially considering the fact that she had been made to sign a non-disclosure agreement before they even allowed her upstairs. Jessica had told her about it beforehand though,

“You are probably going to be made to sign a non-disclosure agreement, but don’t worry about it. That’s how all these rich people work; they really don’t want their business out in the open. Plus they have to protect themselves from people that would try to blackmail for money.” Jessica had assured her.

She had been escorted upstairs about five minutes ago and hadn’t been able to stand still since she had been left alone. What kind of room was this exactly? It was too big to be a bedroom; it had a mini bar at the left side of the room. There was a pole at the center of the room also, and just behind it was a King size bed made with dark blue sheets; and a matching duvet.

There were two armchairs opposite the pole and she had a feeling that was where her audience would be seated for the show.

How had she ended up in this situation? She had on a long brown fur coat which had a hood above her head and completely covered her body. But beneath that was a Cat woman costume which Jessica had specially picked out for her because it apparently accentuated her figure.

It was basically a black leather jumpsuit with a zip at the front and she wore matching knee length boots; she also held a black whip and wore gloves. She had on the mask too, which had the signature cat ears and had little openings for her mouth, eyes and nose. Apart from that, her whole face was covered.

When was he going to show up? Could she really go through with this? Jessica had seemed to believe she could.

“Of course you can do this Ro, I believe in you.”

“But I’m not graceful like you, Jess. I am really clumsy and can’t even dance. I would be like a bull in a chinaware store.”

“Of course you can dance. You practiced ballet, remember?”

“For five months, when I was twelve years old!”

“It doesn’t matter Ro, you can do this. You are graceful and you have legs for daysss, with your beautiful height.”

Jessica was right about Rose’s legs and height. Rose was six feet and an inch tall with beautiful long legs as opposed to Jessica’s five feet four inches. But Jessica was like a sexy, little vixen; while Rose felt like a clumsy gazelle and she told Jessica just that.

“What you need is liquid courage to loosen you up Ro, and I’m sure you will unwind. Then you would be able to have fun and dance your little heart out, your shyness is what’s holding you back”

“Liquid courage? Are you sure I should get drunk?” Rose had asked a little unsure. She liked being in charge of her state of mind and drinking alcohol in this kind of situation, would tamper with that.

“Yes! I am absolutely sure Ro. You don’t need to worry. I am sure you are going to see different kinds of alcohol when you get there. So just have your pick, guzzle it down and put on the best show of your life.”

“I will try my best.”

“Rose,” Jessica had said with all seriousness as her voice had lost the joking tone.

“Yeah?”

“I want you to remember that he can’t make you do anything that you don’t want to. Your job is not to go there and have sex with this man, so do not feel obligated to. If he makes you feel uncomfortable or tries to make you do something you don’t want to; then I want you to leave immediately.

Kick him in the nuts if you want, and leave immediately. Do you understand that? I don’t care about the money or future connections or any of that, okay? I care about you too much for any of that to matter over your comfort and safety.” Jessica had said as she looked Rose in the eye and made sure she understood.

“I understand,” Rose had said with a grateful smile. Her friend had told her that she could back out whenever she wanted, and that made her feel more in control.

“Yay! Now are you ready to be Cinnamon?” Jessica had asked with a wink.

“Gosh, I don’t even know why you chose that as your stage name considering your relationship with cinnamon.” Rose had replied as she rolled her eyes.

Liquid courage right? Let’s do this then, Rose thought with determination as she made her way to the mini bar in the corner. She needed this money so she could find Victor and was ready to put on the best show of her life.

Just where was the birthday boy?
