Chapter 7: The Dinner

Lucas was sipping his morning coffee as he stared at the message his Grandmother, Darcy had sent him.

“Dear son, today is the dinner, remember to bring your wife, see you soon,” Lucas chuckled at his grandmother’s choice of

words.

He knew that she must have been dying of curiosity to know whether he was truly married or he was just making up lies so that he wouldn't get married to Carla. She may even be monitoring him now.

He stayed with her for more than twenty years so he could naturally predict her entire movements now, she was his Grandmother after all.

He was now standing in front of his full-height mirror, he made sure he had the mirror installed in every house that he owned.

A normal person would think that he was just gazing at the city and its beautiful skyline but he was just reliving his memory of Mia running out of the mansion seven years ago. Why didn't he stop her?
