Chapter 8: The kiss

Lucas spent an entire thirty minutes trying to convince his grandmother, Darcy, that Mia and Emma were two different persons.

They were seated now but that didn't stop his Grandma from giving Emma side glances throughout the dinner, he even caught her glare at him.

“How did you two meet,” Darcy suddenly asked.

Emma panicked for a second. she wanted to ask Lucas what she was going to say if that question was thrown at her but he gave her the silent treatment throughout their ride here.

Lucas turned to look at Emma, he gently took her hands in his and kissed them softly. “We met at a bar, one look at her and I knew she was the one for me,” he replied confidently, returning his gaze to his Grandmother.

Emma lost herself in his act for a second, she would have believed him if she hadn't been entangled in everything, she wasn't prepared for all that was happening.

“Hmmm, A bar really… And you already got married,” Darcy scoffed, pointing to the rings.
