Chapter 56

It was the third day of our staycation in New York. This day was meant to be sunny and blue, a day for us to relax and enjoy the city with all its buzz. Instead, we were driving down the neighborhood searching for Terrence.

He had stormed out of the house without saying a word, and now, three hours later, no one had gotten wind of his whereabouts. His phone was going automatically to voicemail, and the message box had blocked me from sending any more remorseful texts.
