Chapter 7- Don't You Touch Me?

Abigail could feel the awkwardness that charged the air.

She paused, watching Asher who was staring right back at her with a serious face. She didn't want to upset him, so she got up, clutching the thin fabric of her nighties together.

Abigail sat down on the other side of the bed. This was very uncomfortable for her. She may have been married to him for a long time, but he felt like a complete stranger to her.

"What will happen to Emma and Clara?" She decided to fill the awkward silence.

"They will be investigated by the police. There seems to be a mastermind behind the whole incident. "The police will take care of it," he said.

"Did the police find Clara's phone?"

"It was already broken when we found you..."

Abigail hissed. "Clara broke it! Those little bitches, now we will never know who the mastermind is. "

"The phone is broken, but we can access its call records."

"That's right! How could I forget about that? So we can find out tomorrow, right? " S
