Chapter Sixteen

After my exam yesterday, I returned to the hotel, utterly exhausted. The previous day had been spent immersed in my books, leaving me sleep-deprived. My phone had died after the exam, and I was puzzled as to who might have tried to reach me, considering its low battery when I left home. Upon entering my hotel room, I hastily plugged in my phone and collapsed into bed, succumbing to much-needed sleep.

When I awoke, it was already morning. To my surprise, I sensed a presence behind me on the bed. A hand rested gently on my waist, and the person was fast asleep. startled, I let out a fearful shout, jolting the person awake. In a calm and soft voice, they inquired, "What's your problem?"

As I turned to face the person, hoping it wouldn't be who I was thinking, our eyes met and I was taken aback to see that it was Greg.

Questions swirled in my mind - what was he doing here, and how did he know I was here? Why were we sleeping together? Before I could gather my thoughts, I noticed his eye
