Chapter 3

Alexander took a seat at the bar and ordered a drink, his mind wandering back to a conversation he had with his mother a few weeks ago. She had been pestering him about getting married, insisting that he needed to start a family and carry on their family's lineage.

Mother: "Son, when are you going to settle down and start a family? You're not getting any younger, you know."

Son: "Mom, I've told you before, I'm not ready for that kind of commitment yet. I still have a lot of things I want to accomplish before I think about starting a family."

Mother: "But what about our family's lineage? Who will carry on our name if you don't have children?"

Son: "Mom, I understand that's important to you, but I don't want to rush into something just because of tradition. Besides, I have a girlfriend who I love very much, and we're not ready to get married yet."

Mother: "But how long are you going to wait? What if you miss your chance to have children?"

Son: "Mom, I appreciate your concern, but I don't think that's something I need to worry about right now. My girlfriend and I are happy together, and we'll start a family when we're ready."

Mother: "I just don't want you to regret not starting a family when you had the chance. You're the only son we have, and it's important that you carry on our family's legacy."

He noticed Celine sat at the bar, nursing her drink and trying to calm her racing thoughts. It had been a week since she had caught Michael cheating on her, and the pain was still raw. She had come to the bar with her friend Rachel, hoping to find some distraction and a chance to vent her frustrations.

As Celine swirled the ice cubes in her glass, she noticed a man sitting a few stools down. He was tall, with chiseled features and an air of confidence that commanded attention. Despite herself, Celine found herself stealing glances at him, drawn in by his magnetic presence.

Rachel nudged her. "You're staring," she whispered, a teasing smile on her face.

Celine blushed, feeling embarrassed at being caught. "I wasn't staring," she protested weakly.

Rachel laughed. "Sure you weren't. You should go talk to him."

Celine shook her head, feeling self-conscious. "No way. I'm not in the mood for that."

But as much as Celine tried to ignore him, she couldn't help feeling drawn to him. There was something about the way he carried himself, the way he seemed to exude power and control. She felt a pang of jealousy, wondering what it must be like to be that in control of one's own life.

But as much as she tried to convince herself that he was just another arrogant rich guy, Celine couldn't shake the feeling that there was something more to him. She watched him discreetly, noticing the way he spoke to the bartender with a quiet authority, the way he seemed to command respect without even trying.

Celine took another sip of her whiskey, her mind wandering. She wondered what it would be like to be with a man like him, someone who is so handsome, someone who could offer her a world of possibilities.

But then she remembered the pain of her boyfriend's betrayal, and the thought of trusting another man seemed impossible. She turned away from the stranger and tried to lose herself in the alcohol once more.

Little did she know that the handsome stranger had noticed her as well, and was watching her with a curious intensity.

Suddenly, the man stood up and walked over to her. "Excuse me," he said, his voice smooth and confident. "I couldn't help but notice you sitting here all alone. Mind if I join you?"

Celine felt her heart race as she looked up at him. He was even more handsome up close, with piercing blue eyes and a strong jawline. She found herself nodding, unable to form words.

He sat down next to her, flashing her a charming smile. "I'm Alexander," he said, extending a hand.

"Celine," she replied, shaking his hand.

They chatted for a few minutes, with Alexander asking her about herself and what brought her to the bar. Celine found herself opening up to him, telling him about Michael and how he had broken her heart.

Alexander listened intently, his eyes fixed on hers. "I'm sorry to hear that," he said, placing a hand on her arm. "But it's his loss. You're a beautiful and intelligent woman."

Celine felt a warmth spread through her at his words. No one had complimented her like that in a long time. She found herself relaxing in his presence, feeling a sense of comfort that she hadn't felt in a while.

As the night wore on, Celine and Alexander talked and laughed, the hours passing by in a blur. She felt a connection to him that she couldn't explain, a spark of attraction that was both thrilling and terrifying.

Meanwhile The bartender served them  another bottle of whiskey but Celine downed it quickly, feeling the warmth of the alcohol spreading through her body. She ordered another one and then another, slowly losing track of time as she drowned her sorrows in the amber liquid.

Alexander also ordered another round of drinks, and the woman gratefully accepted, feeling a sense of comfort in the man's presence.

He allowed her to drink to stupor, thinking that it was better for her to forget her troubles and enjoy the moment. He didn't want her to feel alone or sad, and he was happy to be the one to provide her with some comfort.

Alexander's inhibitions began to fade away, and he found himself growing increasingly attracted to the woman. She had a mischievous smile and an infectious laugh that drew him in.

In a moment of boldness, Alexander leaned in and kissed the woman. To his surprise, she kissed him back, and the two of them locked lips in a passionate embrace. The alcohol had clouded their judgement, and they didn't care who saw them. In that moment, all that mattered was the connection they shared.

As they continued to kiss, their bodies pressed together, Celine could feel her heart racing in her chest. She knew that this was just a drunken one-night stand, but she couldn't help feeling drawn to the man.

As they broke apart, panting and gasping for breath, Alexander looked deep into the Celine's eyes. He could see the same desire reflected back at him, and he knew that he wanted her.

Celine turned and saw her friend, Rachel making out with the guy from the bar. The sight made her feel even worse.

Alexander and Celine grew more and more intoxicated. They stumbled out of the bar, leaning on each other for support as they made their way to Alexander's car. He helped Celine into the passenger seat and fumbled with his keys before finally starting the engine and driving towards his hotel.

As they arrived at the hotel, Alexander tried to maintain his composure, knowing that he was the owner of the hotel and that the staff would be watching his every move. But as he stumbled towards the elevator, Celine slumped against him, nearly causing him to lose his balance. The hotel staffs looked on as Alexander and Celine stumbled towards the elevator, her head lolling against his shoulder. They saw Alexander and Celine in such a state, and they whispered amongst themselves as they watched the two of them disappear down the hallway.

Alexander fumbled with his keycard before finally managing to open the door to his room. Alexander started kissing Celine passionately. The first touch of her lips was like an electric shock to his system. Her lips were soft , and she tasted like sweet wine. Alexander melted against her; his entire senses filled by her. Her breast felt good against his palm and her perfume smelled good too. Alexander couldn't help but opened his mouth to get a deeper taste.
