Chapter 2

Celine pulled over to the side of the road, her hands shaking as she tried to compose herself. She knew she couldn't face this alone. She needed someone to talk to, someone who would listen and support her no matter what.

Without wasting time, she drove straight to her best friend's house. Celine and her friend Rachel, used to live together before she moved in with Michael. She parked the car and stumbled out, her eyes red and puffy from crying. She rang the doorbell, feeling like she was about to collapse.

As soon as her friend opened the door, Celine broke down. She told her everything, the pain, the betrayal, the heartbreak. She cried and shook, unable to contain the emotions that were overwhelming her.

Her friend held her tightly, comforting her, and telling her that she was there for her. Celine felt like she had found a lifeline in that moment, someone to help her through the worst of times.

The alarm clock blared its usual 6:00 a.m. wake-up call, but Celine couldn't move. The weight of the world seemed to be crushing her. She had barely slept, her mind racing with images of her boyfriend in bed with another woman. The betrayal was too much to bear, and tears streamed down her face as she lay in bed, unable to face the day.

Celine had always been in control of her life, a successful businesswoman who had worked hard to get where she was. But in that moment, everything felt out of her control. She had given everything to her relationship, only to be left with nothing but heartache and humiliation.

She forced herself to get out of bed and make her way to the bathroom, staring blankly at her reflection in the mirror. She barely recognized the woman looking back at her, with red eyes, blotchy skin, and a hollow expression.

As she stood under the hot shower, Celine replayed the events of the previous night in her mind. The feeling of betrayal still burned in her chest, and she couldn't shake the image of her boyfriend's naked body tangled with another woman's.

Celine knew she had to get out of her apartment, to escape the memories that haunted her. She dressed in a simple black dress and headed out, not even bothering to put on makeup or fix her hair. She wandered aimlessly through the city, her mind in a fog.

A week later, one evening Celine sat on the couch, staring at the TV but not really watching it. Her mind was still stuck on Michael, the way he had betrayed her and broken her heart. She had spent the last week in a daze, trying to come to terms with what had happened.

Her best friend Rachel had been a constant presence, checking in on her and trying to cheer her up. She had been the one to suggest they go out to the bar tonight, to get Celine out of the house and clear her head.

"You need to get out of this funk," Rachel had said, selecting a dress from her closet. "You can't spend every night moping on the couch."

Celine had protested, not feeling up to going out. But Rachel had insisted, saying that a change of scenery would do her good. She had even helped Celine pick out an outfit, a simple black dress that hugged her curves in all the right places.

As they drove to the bar, Celine felt a sense of trepidation. She hadn't been out in a long time, not since she had started dating Michael. She felt self-conscious, like everyone was staring at her.

But as soon as they stepped into the bar, she felt a sense of relief. The dim lighting and thumping music made her feel anonymous, like she could let loose and forget about her troubles for a while.

Rachel led her to the bar, ordering them both drinks. Celine sipped hers slowly, feeling the alcohol warm her insides. She felt a sense of relaxation, like she was finally able to let go of some of her tension. As she sat there, lost in her thoughts, she didn't noticed when Alexander entered the bar.

As he walked into the room, all eyes turned to him.He had that effect on people - an air of power and wealth that commanded attention. But despite the admiring glances and flirtatious looks from women, Alexander barely noticed. His thoughts were focused on his next big business deal, his mind racing with ideas and strategies.

His tall and lean physique commanded attention, and every move he made seemed calculated and deliberate. His chiseled jawline was framed by a perfectly trimmed beard, and his piercing blue eyes seemed to sparkle with intelligence and wit. His dark hair was styled in a way that seemed effortlessly sophisticated, and he wore a perfectly tailored suit that accentuated his broad shoulders and narrow waist.

As he spoke, his voice was smooth and velvety, with a hint of a British accent that only added to his charm. He was well-spoken and articulate, with a vast knowledge of business and a sharp wit that could make anyone laugh.

*******************************************

Alexander was the quintessential billionaire: handsome, confident, and commanding. As the CEO of Chimax company, he was accustomed to being in control and always getting what he wanted. He had piercing blue eyes that seemed to see right through people, and a strong jawline that gave him a look of determination.

Despite his success and wealth, Alexander had a reputation as a ladies' man. He had a magnetic charm and charisma that drew women to him like a moth to a flame. He was the type of man who could have any woman he desired, and he knew it. He enjoyed the company of beautiful women, but never allowed himself to get too attached to any of them. He was a true playboy, always looking for his next conquest.

However, Alexander had a softer side when it came to his family. He had a close relationship with his mother, who had always supported and encouraged him. His father had passed away when he was young, and he had always felt a deep sense of responsibility to make his father proud. He also had a younger sister whom he adored, and would do anything to protect.

In his business dealings, Alexander was known for his ruthless tactics and no-nonsense approach. He had built Chimax from the ground up, and he was fiercely protective of his company and its reputation. He was a visionary who was always looking for the next big thing, and he was not afraid to take risks to achieve his goals.

Despite his tough exterior, Alexander had a kind heart and a sense of empathy for those less fortunate than him. He had grown up in a middle-class family and had worked his way up through the ranks to become the billionaire he was today. He knew the value of hard work and determination, and he respected those who shared those qualities.

Alexander was always on the go, jetting from one meeting to the next, and he rarely had a chance to relax. But on this particular night, he found himself with some unexpected free time. He was in the city for a business conference, and his dinner plans had fallen through.

Not wanting to waste the opportunity,  Alexander decided to find a local bar and have a drink. He needed to unwind after a long day of meetings, and he hoped that a stiff drink would help him relax.

As he walked into the bar, he was struck by the lively atmosphere. The sound of laughter and chatter filled the air, and Alexander couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement.
