39 // Chance Encounter

The next morning, on a Sunday, MJ woke up early and prepared for her morning jog. She needed to clear her head after everything that took place the previous night including Carmen’s pregnancy and Shannon’s fight. 

She placed her phone on the coffee table and sat down on the couch to put on her Nike trainers. She wore a black Nike sports bra and black Adidas track pants with white stripes on the side. She tied her hair into a messy bun and grabbed her phone and earphones off the table, and then she grabbed a water bottle from the counter and left the apartment. 

She wore her earphones and took off running once outside the building. 

It was her first weekend in Cape Town and it had not started well. Logan’s girlfriend, Carmen, had returned and to make things worse, she was pregnant. A lot of things were going to change on Monday, and the fact that Lola would be returning too did not make things any better. Lolitta Leibrandt knew MJ
