Sonya's POV

*****

Callum finally seemed to come back to his senses after I barged into his office, his eyebrows furrowing into a frown as he gently shoved Amanda off his body while glaring at me.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing here?" He queried, dimming his eyes as he walked around his table and headed toward me, not even bothering to arrange his slightly undone buttons.

I felt my attempt at breathing getting harder and harder as I watched the man I called my husband walk toward me with contempt in his eyes as his gaze trailed my body.

"Well? Have you suddenly gone deaf or mute?"

 I clenched my jaw, glancing back only to see Amanda standing behind Callum on the other side of the office with a sly smirk on her face.

Enough is enough.

"C– Callum, you cheated on me. You've been cheating on me all this while?" I queried, my chest tightening and my stomach turning as if I was about to throw up.

I shouldn't be subjecting myself to this kind of stress right now that I am pregnant.

Just then, Callum scoffed, the disdain and spite in his gaze clear as he responded. "Cheat? How's it cheating when there was barely even a marriage in the first place? Not to mention the fact that you have never been the one my heart wanted."

He glanced back, smiling at Amanda who giggled before she waved at him playfully, ignoring my existence entirely.

My heart felt like it was failing and at this point, I didn't know what to say or do anymore.

Tears began trickling down my face like a waterfall as I slowly stepped forward and stretched my hands toward Callum, my chest heaving with each breath I took.

"And what do you think you're doing now?" He questioned mockingly, disregarding my tears as he scoffed. "Why are you still here anyway? Ugh, this bitch is ruining my birthday!"

He sounded pissed off but fortunately for me, he didn't do anything when I finally grabbed his right arm with both my hands, forcing him to look into my eyes as I kept on crying and sniffling.

I parted my lips repeatedly to speak, but my voice came out in croaks filled with my sobs, and it was getting harder to breathe. It was as if my lifeline had been cut.

"Babe, get the bitch to stop holding you already!" Amanda's voice echoed from behind Callum as if to add insult to my already festering wound.

I couldn't take any more of this.

"C– Callum," I muttered, sniffling hard to clear the snort in my nose and also to catch my breath. "D– Do you even love me? Even if it's just a... Even if it's just a li–"

Suddenly, without warning, Callum yanked his arm out of my grip, causing me to lose my balance since I'd subconsciously been putting my weight into holding him.

I fell face first to the floor, landing hard and even sending a sharp pain in both my arms and also my head.

"You delusional little bitch." Callum spat on my body despite my position on the ground, his voice dripping with hatred. "Get this into your thick skull. What we have is nothing more than an arranged marriage from our parents. I was never under any obligation to love you. How could I?"

I gasped, struggling to catch my breath as I heard Amanda's footsteps approaching just then.

My right hand went to my stomach, clutching it tight as my eyes fluttered weakly. A sharp pain shot through my stomach, causing me to squirm and gasp from the pain as my lips trembled.

"H– Help me," I said weakly, my voice weak.

It was then that my right hand went underneath my legs, and I discovered something that sent shivers down my spine.

I was bleeding!

"Oh, babe. Just drag the bitch out of your office and dump her there." Amanda's annoying voice remarked but it was becoming distant with each passing second.

I tried raising my head to get a view of the office and the people towering above me but that was almost impossible as my eyes turned.

"I didn't even touch her." Callum sneered with contempt, but those were the last words I heard before everything went black.

~~~~~
"She's waking up, doctor!"
"Oh, thank goodness. The poor thing is lucky to be alive."
"Call her husband and get him in here, please."
My eyes struggled to open as I felt my attempts at breathing getting better again. However, when I smelt the unwelcome scent of drugs and stared at the white ceiling, I realized where I was soon enough.
I was in the hospital.
"Madam?" A calm female voice spoke up from beside me just then, forcing me to slowly turn my head to its source.
Standing beside my bed was a female doctor with short black hair, a stethoscope around her neck, and a smile on her face as she brought down the log book in her hands.
"How are you feeling, madam?" The doctor asked, her voice soft and patient.
How am I feeling?
It was at that moment that I began remembering my encounter with Callum and how I had fallen on the floor and... And the blood!
When I remembered all that, a skull-splitting headache assaulted my head, forcing me to grit my teeth as I struggled to even look at the doctor.
"You don't have to sit up." The doctor said reassuringly, placing her hands on my shoulder. "Just relax. We're going to–"
Just then, I heard the door swing open and footsteps approaching, followed by another female voice speaking up.
"Her husband refuses to show up, ma'am." The voice whispered, but I was still able to hear it, and my heart broke once again.
Callum had dumped me here in the hospital and wasn't bothered in the slightest to check up on me.
Anyway, after a back and forth between the doctors and nurses, the kind female doctor finally came to my side and broke some news that shattered my heart once again.
"Madam, I'm sorry to say you miscarried and we could not save the baby."
My world came crashing down completely with these words.
    Confession Sonya’s povCallum’s words had my heart racing, I looked him In the eye, I could not bring myself to avert my gaze this time around no matter how much I wanted to do just that, but a huge part of me just wanted to get every expression on his face as he spoke those words. He seemed very serious saying them.Our eyes locked, the atmosphere seemed tense around us, I could not think of any other things except the man before me. His words stung to my heart, I blinked as he cupped my cheek.“I love you Sonya, I know it’s wrong because I am married, but I cannot help it” he continued, his eyes glazing into mine.“I tried to stop myself, but I can’t. Everyday I realize just how much of a mistake I made leaving you” he added, his grip on me seemed to have become stronger.“At first I thought it was just guilt, but now I realize just how much I really do miss you” he said, looking tenderly into my eyes.“I am sorry for how I treated you in the past, and I know this is wrong, but y
    Round In CirclesSonya’s povI immediately pulled away from Callum’s grip, finding my balance as I rearranged my dress. He was the last person I expected to run into. “When did you get back into town?” He said, making me avert my gaze towards him.“Just last night” I responded, smiling. I noticed how uneasy he seemed.“Ohkay, I was just leaving” he said, walking towards the direction of the rooms.I watched as he walked away as fast as his legs could carry him. I was too lost watching the movement of his well chiseled back.I walked closely behind him, heading straight to my own room. Callum kept going in the direction of my room, and to my utmost surprise, he was lodged directly opposite me. In the same room we had sex.We smiled awkwardly at each other before going into our individual rooms. I shot the door behind me, my back leaning on it as I gasped for breath. My hands finding its way to my chest from feeling nervous.I found it hard to believe this was really happening, the th
    Please Don’t Find Out 2Callum’s povThe chirping sound of the birds were the only things I could pay attention to as I walked out into the garden. As much as I tried not to think of it, Amanda’s words kept ringing in my head. She had sounded so livid.“What did she mean by those words” I thought to myself, wondering if my previous doubts about her were true or not.I headed back in, preparing to head out. I picked up my phone, calling Stephen to know where he was. I needed to seek his advice. He is the only one I can trust with personal matters.“What’s your emergency?” He said as soon as I walked into the door, his eyes teasing.“You seem put together, I expected Amanda to rip your head out” he continued, smiling as he poured us a glass of whiskey each. I was going to complain about the liquor that early in the morning, but I really needed it“Amanda said she will ruin Sonya,”I blurted out, swallowing the drink I had in my mouth.“Well that’s new”Stephen said, filling my cup again.
    PLEASE DON’T FIND OUTSonya’s pov.I could not bring myself to face Callum after I remembered our child that was miscarried. The tears threatening to fall from my eyes since Callum answered that reporter, fell freely as I drove home. I hid the truth from him, I couldn't stop the tears, I hated myself so much at that moment for drinking to stupor that night.I had been too scared of the scandal it would cause if the media found out I got pregnant out of wedlock and for my ex husband. I was also scared of having another child for Callum, because of how he treated me the last time.I dabbed at my tears, sniffling. Stacy patted my shoulder, comforting me.“It’s hard Stacy” I said amid tears, I pulled the car over at a corner on the road as my eyes were now blurry from the tears.“It’s fine Sonya, it will all go away with time” Stacy said, leaning in, she cupped my cheek, wiping the tears from my eyes.“Let me drive,”she said, pulling the car door open as we exchanged seats.     DOWN MEMORY LANESonya’s pov.The drive to Mr Collins campaign was a quiet one, allowing me time to reminisce on my dinner with Callum. I tried to wave it out of my head and not think about it, but it seemed impossible.When Stacy had told me we had a show at a campaign event, I immediately agreed to get my mind off the event of the previous night.I could not tell Stacy how I had reacted to Callum, I pictured the face of the woman who had asked if Callum and I were a couple, thankful that no media person was there when she had asked.My face flushed from the thought of her question yet again.When we arrived at the parking lot of the campaign’s center, my heart skipped a beat, I saw a jet black car that looked exactly like Callum’s. I froze,“Is he here?” I asked myself in a whisper.My gaze turned towards Stacy, who was not getting her things together to go in.“Stacy, do you have any idea if Callum will be here” I asked, looking from her to the car.“No Sonya,” she responded, “Why
