Tyler's POV

My chest was pounding so hard I was sure Quin could hear it. Every nerve in my body screamed at me to run, but my legs refused to obey. What the fuck was wrong with me.

“Too bad your hair is black,” he said with a grin. “I’ll have to keep looking for my husband elsewhere.”

My heart nearly stopped.

“I have an ongoing meeting to attend.”

And just like that he moved away like nothing had happened. He returned to his desk, sat down, and continued the Zoom meeting like I wasn't there an

  • The Billoniare's Fake Husband    One disaster after another

Quin’s POVMy body had eventually given up, even when my mind refused to stop screaming.I slept off. When I opened my eyes again, nothing had changed. Tyler was still lying unconscious in the hospital bed.For a second I thought the machines had stopped. My heart nearly exploded before my brain registered the steady beeping. He was still here.Thank God.I sat up immediately. My neck protested from the angle I’d slept in the uncomfortable chair, a sharp, grinding ache that ran all the way down into my shoulders. I ignored it.The first thing I did was check Tyler—eyes scanning the rise and fall of his chest, the colour of his skin, the soft hiss of oxygen. Then I reached for his hand. They were warm. I released a slow breath that trembled on the way out.“You really know how to ruin a man's weekend Plan,” I murmured. My voice sounded rough and obviously exhausted in a way I didn’t recognise. The same way I felt. When Tyler left for his shopping I had plan to do a little bit of work w

  • The Billoniare's Fake Husband    Please wake Up

Quin's POVI was almost at the supermarket when I spotted him crossing the road.It happened so fast that my mind struggled to process it.One second Tyler was there—phone in hand, walking across the crosswalk with that familiar, slightly distracted stride. The next, a black SUV came flying around the corner far too fast. The screech of tires ripped through the air like a scream. My heart stopped.“TYLER!”The name tore out of my throat before I even realized I had made a sound. The vehicle slammed into him. The impact echoed down the street like a gunshot. Tyler’s body lifted off the ground in a horrifying, suspended seconds, he hung in the air—limbs loose before he crashed onto the pavement.Everything inside me went cold. The world slowed. People screamed and the coming cars slammed on their brakes. Someone shouted for an ambulance. I heard all of it and none of it, because the only thing that existed was him—lying motionless in the middle of the road.“No.”The word came out broke

  • The Billoniare's Fake Husband    I should have listened

Tyler's POVI felt like my breath had been knocked out of me.I sat frozen staring at the blank screen of my phone, the after image of the unknown number still burned into my vision. My hands had started shaking slightly.I hated that they were shaking. I hated that after all these years she could still reach into my life and do this to me—turn my pulse into a frantic drum and make the safety of our home feel paper-thin.“Tyler, who was that.”Quin’s voice was calm.I swallowed hard. “My mother.”His eyebrows pulled together. “What?”I didn't know how to feel. “That was my mother.”The silence that followed was heavy enough to bruise. Quin looked visibly pissed.“ I heard you. How did she get your contact? And what did she say?”“‘I don't know. But she said 'I’ll make you pay for choosing a man over me.'""It's high time we deal with her for real since she keeps getting in my way."I didn't say a word, because I had nothing to say.He collected the phone from my hand and dropped it bes

  • The Billoniare's Fake Husband    Was twenty four hours too much to ask?

Tyler's POVWhen I finally opened my eyes again, sunlight was spilling warmly through the curtains, painting golden stripes across the bed.For a few long seconds, I didn’t move. Quin was still asleep beside me, one arm draped possessively across my waist, his face buried against my shoulder. The deep lines of tension that had been carved into his features for weeks seemed softer now. I wish I could make everything better for him. Deserve to be happy after everything he's been through.I brushed my fingers gently through his hair. He didn’t stir. He needed this more than anything. God knew proper sleep had been a stranger to him for a while now..I checked the clock on the nightstand and nearly groaned. We slept through most of the day. My stomach growled loudly, reminding me that the last real meal I’d eaten felt like a lifetime ago. Very carefully, I slipped out from under Quin’s arm, replacing myself with a pillow. He grunted something incoherent and pulled the pillow closer, buryi

  • The Billoniare's Fake Husband    You're Stuck with me

Tyler's POVI had woken up that morning to an empty bed and an even emptier apartment.Quin was nowhere in the building. His phone went straight to voicemail. I was soo close to spiraling and going into full panic mode—images of him doing something reckless, something irreversible, flashing through my mind. But then I stopped myself. After everything he’d been through these past weeks, whatever he needed to do to claw back some sense of control, I was fully behind it. Even if it scared the hell out of me.I made coffee I didn’t drink and waited. When the front door finally opened, Quin stepped inside with blood staining the front of his shirt. My heart slammed against my chest so hard I thought it might fall out. I didn’t care whose blood it was—as long as it wasn’t his. I’d ask about the details later. Right now, all I wanted was to remind him he was still here, he was mine and very much still alive. And it had been far too long since we’d done anything that felt like living.Quin fr

  • The Billoniare's Fake Husband    Not Everyone is a Monster

Quin's POVThe warehouse fell silent after Julian’s confession.Billie had known. She had known Aiden was watching us. Known she was being manipulated and knew she was dying. And while carrying all that fear and weight alone, she had still chosen to protect us.The realization lodged in my chest like a knife, twisting with every breath.Across from me, Julian remained tied to the chair, shoulders slumped, eyes fixed on the dirty concrete floor. The fight had drained out of him.Jake broke the silence first. “You should’ve told us sooner.”Julian laughed—a bitter, hollow sound that made my skin crawl. “What difference would it have made?”I stared at him. “My sister spent months carrying that burden alone because of you.”His jaw tightened. “I know.”The simple admission surprised me. No excuses or deflection.I stepped closer. “Why are you suddenly being honest?”Julian looked up. For the first time, he looked like his expression was genuine. He looked Worn down and hollowed out. He g

Tyler's POV I stared at the phone for way too long as I lay sprawled on my bed. "Wait a minute," I thought to myself, " the phone was a burner phone which means he can't track it. I could have some fun while I can. I know Cass would think I'm crazy." So I did. I sent him a text back. "Catch me
