The Bite Of My Mate

"Is this the place they call hell?" I looked around as I arrived at the burning place of Lucifer. The dark surrounding froze my hair and tingled my chest like my heart was screaming about how dangerous the place looks like.

My chest crumpled while I was roaming around, looking at every corner of gloominess. The place sent darkness to my mind; I really couldn't see anything except for walls and a yellow dim light plus fire on some corners, indeed a hell. I almost broke apart when I saw Mia in the corner of a dark room. I ran towards her while she was laying on a bed, sobbing. I crumpled my fist as my heart burned. I couldn't take seeing her cry.

"Mia," I muttered a word.

She looked up as her eyes widened. 

"K-Kash..." She couldn't speak a word! Her voice was nothing but sobbing. My eyes started burning; I was stopping myself from crying.

I hugged her tight as I squeezed my eyes close. Oh God, I missed her so much. I could even feel how fragile she was through her warm skin. 

I rested my head on his shoulder as my tears started falling. I could hear her sob and that tightened my chest even harder. It was like my chest was crushed by a giant. She didn't deserve to experience Lucifer's bullshit. 

I shook my head as I held her cheeks. I wiped the tears on her while my eyes were trying to comfort her. We knew each other very much and we could communicate well even only using our eyes.

I held her hand as we stood together. "Let's go." I pulled her out of the fucking dark and suffocating room but the place seemed like there was no end at all. Everything was dark and it was hard to recognize the places we were passing by. All I could see was the black wall and the yellow light like a fire, burning us to hell. 

"I love you, Kash." 

I froze. I looked at her face filled with tears. "I love you too, Mia... I love you so much." I kissed her lips.

"Always..." she whispered beyond our soft, passionate kiss.

"We need to go." I broke our lips apart. I wanted to kiss her more but we needed to get out of this place first.

We were walking, almost running until I bumped into Lucifer. Our eyes met then he looked at Mia who was hiding behind my back. I held her hand tighter while wishing that my glare could kill Lucifer. 

My eyes were like a knife, stabbing his angry face. He really wouldn't let it easy for me to surpass him. His stare was sharper. I could even hear how hard his breath was that it was almost like there could be smoke on his nose.

"Where do you think you're going?" His voice echoed on the whole place as the den was paying respect to him as he was the king of this fucking hell.

I could feel how Mia's hand was trembling while she was holding mine. I gulped. 

"Lucifer, please... can you just let us go?" I lowered my pride for her. I didn't wanna see her scared and all I wanted to do was to save her and not frighten her even more. 

Lucifer laughed and it almost burned my ears like an echoing drum.

"You can go. You can go all by yourself and leave Mia here," he authorized.

My grip tightened. "I will never leave her to you."

"Fools!"

The air pulled me until my back bumped on a wall so fucking hard and I found myself lying on the floor with my body feeling numb. Damn it. King was right, I was weaker here. 

I looked around and the heat on my head held high as I saw Mia lying on the other side. Her knees were bleeding. Our wounds could be easily healed but only when we were in the Kingdom. 

I was preparing to use my white power while I was killing Lucifer through my stares until I remembered what King said, we couldn't use our white power here! This was so bullshit.

Lucifer laughed so hard when he realized I didn't have any power, only a little bit of strength but he was still stronger especially since he was in his den. 

I quickly stood and ran towards him. I was about to punch him when he pushed me away using just the wind. I couldn't stop his force! It was so damn heavy. 

"Kash..." Mia sounded so weak.

I could feel how weak she was; I needed to be strong for her. I was about to punch Lucifer but then he grabbed my fist and twist my wrist. I felt my skin almost break. I shouted in pain. Fuck! The pain here was intolerable.

"Kash!" Mia was so worried.

I grip my lower lip to stop myself from moaning in pain; I didn't want Mia to be more worried. I wanted her to sink in that everything would be fine, that I could handle Lucifer and I'd do anything to kill him.

His stares were suffocating my eyes. He tightened his grip on my fist. I was trying to fight back but it felt like he was stealing all my energy. How could we not have powers here but Lucifer have? That was so fucking unfair!

"Now tell me, Kash, who do you think you are? A prince charming, a knight in shining armour?" He laughed like a thunderstorm "Bullshit!" He twisted my fist more while my eyes were getting sharper and sharper.

"Lucifer, please! Stop..." Mia was crying, pleasing so bad.

"Shut up you bitch!" Lucifer threw me and my back bumped into the wall. He quickly ran towards Mia.

"Don't come near her!"  I was trying to stand but my knees were weaker. Everything here felt painful! Why the hell was it supposed to be like this! 

She kneeled to Mia; held her chin until she looked at his devil face. She had no choice but to look at him while I was gathering all my strengths...

"Please... p-please let us leave..." she begged as she continued crying.

My tears fell. I was crashing with the fact that I couldn't be strong enough to protect her. I was trying; really... I kept on breathing heavily to gather every strength I could take. The place was suffocating and fucking hot so it was harder to regain the strengths. 

I didn't wanna see her in pain and it was killing every bit of my nerves with the idea that my body gave up. 

"Damn you!" I shouted.

"Shut the fuck up!" The air pushed me until I bumped into a stone.

"Lucifer please..." Mia was terrified.

"Mia... Mia... Mia... Do you think I will let you leave? You're mine now. You are mine," he said, emphasizing the last three words. Bullshit! It was all bullshit! 

I could see how he tightened his grip on Mia's chin. 

"You're mine," he hissed as he kissed her on her lips. 

I trembled as my heart exploded. I was trying to release my white power but I fucking couldn't! 

"Who owns you, Mia?" Lucifer asked. 

Mia was trembling as she shrugged. "K-Kash." 

Suddenly he kissed Mia again. Torrid! Damn it! 

"Now who owns you?" he asked after the fucking kiss.

I stood as I postured myself. My body was burning in pain. Lucifer was seemingly stronger than me but I wouldn't give up without fighting.

"K-Kash," Mia muttered.

"Who owns you bitch?" he asked for the third time with his eyes gripping in anger. 

Mia glanced at me as she trembled. "K-Kash ..." 

"Stupid!" 

"Lucifer! Just let us leave. Please... We will give you everything you want... Just let us leave." I begged again. 

He leave Mia alone as he walked toward me. 

He grinned. "You wanna leave?" 

"Please..." I begged again! 

He smiled wider. "Do you think I will let you continue the beauty of your romance? Do you want to leave? Why? To pursue live happily ever after with Mia? Bullshit! You give what I want--"

"Please... Even just Mia. Let her leave.." I asked. 

"No. I won't leave without you," Mia shouted as she cries. He hugged her two knees while crying and trembling. My heart completely broke up. I could hardly breathe. My chest was so tight and it was burning just like how hot the place was. 

"You are desperate huh..." He smirked. "Let's make a deal then. You give me what I want and I'll let Mia leave."

"Anything," I swallowed hard. 

"No... Don't, Kash..." 

"Great! I want your life." His stoic voice shook the whole place like there was an earthquake. I looked at Lucifer while I was preparing myself to die. I was ready to die for her; I would die for her. 

I looked at what he was looking at. My eyes widened at the sharp chandelier on the ceiling; a weird pointy chandelier that was pointed directly at my head. The ceiling was shaking and I knew anytime soon, that the pointed object would fall on me but I didn't care. If it was what it takes to save her, I would gladly accept it. 

"No!" Mia pushed me away as the chandelier fell. 

I was struck when Mia's head caught the pointed object. My jaw dropped as my knees fell to the floor as I witnessed her blood, falling on her face while her eyes were widely open together with her mouth, then the last tear fell on her cheek until she fell on the floor, lifeless.

I couldn't breathe anymore. "No... No! No!" I was trembling in anger and pain as every knife stabbed my chest. "No!" I crawled towards her and touched her hands. "No please no..." My face was full of tears. I couldn't even think properly. My heart was running aggressively. I was catching my breath. I should be the one who saved her. The pointed object was for me. "No! Mia..." 

"Damn it! It's all your fucking fault!" Lucifer shouted.

I didn't utter a word. I was just trembling, holding Mia's hand. My tears were falling on her palm. "Mia... wake up..."

"It's all your fault! Damn! Mia died because of you! You're the one who's supposed to die! Ikaw!" He pointed at me as if he was gonna kill me. 

I couldn't matter a word. It was like I didn't care anymore. I felt lifeless; we grew up in a world where no one was dying but outside the Kingdom, we were weak and I couldn't stand it, especially since Mia was dead... I was just trembling, didn't know what to say or what to do... fuck! It was killing me; the pain was killing me. 

"You really wanna be a hero huh!" He chuckled in annoyance. "Knight in shining armour? Then your wish is my fucking command! You wanna leave, right? Sure I'll let you lea---"

He laughed. I was catching my breath. I couldn't take the pain anymore. I wanted to kill him but I couldn't even let go of Mia's hands. I wanted to feel it so bad, wishing she would wake up with my touch. 

"No! Fucking no! I'm not even that bad to kill you." He grinned. "I will let you live in the human world; same age, not ageing; you'll never die. Sounds promising, right? You're immortal. You're gonna witness every generation, every change, every sin, every fucking thing that hurts, Kash. You're gonna live forever and you will suffer. You will suffer like you're dying every single day, knowing that every one you'll meet in your life is soon gonna die but you're not." He laughed. "You are immortal. You're gonna witness more deaths than you could ever imagine. Not only that, I will bring Mia back to life only for you to witness her die again every fucking twenty years and that cycle will repeat until you get tired until you feel like giving up and until you wish to not know her anymore. You'll gonna see her die repeatedly until you get so drained that you, yourself will give her up to me." 

"That will never happen!" 

He smirked. "Let's see... let's see how many times you'll cry and how deep the pain will be. You'll always be broken and miserable, mourning for her."
