Epilogue

Five years later.

Sally POV

The kids squealed and played by the lake shore, splashing water at each other and laughing.

Elijah and Alex were jumping around with them and I chuckled over their antics.

George was sitting down on the boulder beside me.

“There’s this thing I’ve been thinking about lately.” He said hesitantly.

I looked at him.

“What?”

George shrugged.

“I was just wondering, those months you spent as a Rogue on your own, Why did you come this way? Is it a coincidence that you just happened to stumble into the territory of your neighbouring pack?” He asked.

I leaned my head on his shoulder.

“No it’s not a coincidence.” I admitted. “I stayed outside the border, but I just hoped that I could catch a glimpse of you. Just to know that you made it out of Red Ridge and that you were okay. There was no way I could even try to settle down somewhere before I was sure that you were okay.”

George hugged me.

“Thank you, Lala.” He whispered. “For everything.”

I smiled and we sile
