Old Friends

The giant oak tree stood at the edge of the meadow. Two children; a girl and a boy, were playing under its cool shadow. The boy had scar marks on his wrists and ankles. The marks are like of being chained up. The little girl curiously asked him,

“Are you hurt?”

The boy, “Not really. These help me not to hurt anyone.”

The girl, “You hurt anyone then?”

The boy remained silent and did not answer. He has overgrown hairs all over his body. It looked more like fur. For a seven-year-old kid having this unusual appearance was something challenging.
