Brooklyn.

The next few days roll by uneventfully.

And Billie hasn't woken up.

Not even a finger moved. We got nothing from her. And the doctor keeps saying there's nothing we can do but wait.

It's so sad to watch Logan wanting to break down, but staying strong for his pup, Lance.

Lance has grown in the past two months. It's still amazing how werewolves grow so fast. Like, what exactly is feeding into that growth?

“Happy birthday, Brooklyn!” Maddie screams from the foyer.

Mike Ross speaks, “jeez. Couldn't you wait, Mads? One of these days, you'll deaf my ears.”

“Shut up!” I chuckle. I can hear the happiness in her voice as I hear her take off her shoes.

Leaving the rice to cook, I go round the kitchen to the big space that also leads to the little foyer. Maddie and Mike stand at the foyer, both bickering as Maddie unbuckles her shoes.

I crackle for a bit. Anyone who mates with Mike should be ready to bicker. And Maddie?? She can be a kid when she wants to.
