Cameron Moon called me a worthless Omega and rejected me at the mating ceremony. He humiliated me in front of the entire Crescent Moon Pack, never knowing I hid my true identity as the last pureblood Lycan Queen for 18 years. His cruelty awakened my power, and I left the pack to build my own kingdom. Now he kneels, begging for a second chance—but I already have a king by my side: the most powerful Black Wolf Alpha. This is my story of revenge, power, and unexpected love.

Chapter 1: The Mating Ceremony That Changed Everything

The air in the Great Hall of the Crescent Moon Pack was thick with the scent of pine, sweat, and anticipation. It was the night of the Mating Ceremony. Every eighteen-year-old stood in a line, their hearts thumping against their ribs like trapped birds.

I stood at the very end of the line. My head was bowed, my oversized, tattered grey hoodie hiding my frame. To everyone here, I was Seraphina, the "charity case." The nameless orphan Omega who scrubbed the floors and ate the leftovers.

"Look at her," a girl whispered loudly, giggling. "She actually thinks the Moon Goddess has a mate for her. Who would want a weakling like that?"

"Maybe a rogue needs a slave," her friend sneered.

I kept my gaze on my worn-out sneakers. My face remained a mask of calm. They didn't know that beneath this drab exterior, my blood was singing. It wasn't the weak pulse of an Omega. It was the roar of a Lycan Queen, the last of a pureblood line slaughtered by the very wolves who now looked down on me. I had spent ten years hiding my scent, masking my power with herbs, and playing the role of a pathetic servant.

Tonight was supposed to be my ticket out. Once the ceremony was over, I could claim my "lack of a mate" and leave this pack forever.

"Silence!"

The voice of Alpha Richard boomed through the hall. Beside him stood his son, Cameron. He was the golden boy of the pack—tall, muscular, and devastatingly handsome in a way that screamed arrogance. He was the future Alpha, and every she-wolf in the room was practically salivating at the thought of being his Luna.

Cameron stepped forward, his blue eyes scanning the line of girls with a predatory smirk. He looked like he was shopping for a new car.

"Step forward for the blessing," the pack Shaman commanded.

One by one, the pairs were called. The air filled with the sweet, electric scent of the mate bond as wolves found their matches. Cries of joy and howling echoed off the stone walls.

Then, there was only me and Cameron left.

I felt a sudden, sharp prickle at the back of my neck. It wasn't the bond. It was the feeling of being watched. I glanced toward the darkened balcony above the hall. A shadow moved. For a split second, I saw a pair of piercing, obsidian eyes. A man sat there, cloaked in darkness, radiating a power so immense it made my inner wolf stir for the first time in years.

Kaelen.

I didn't know his name then, but I knew his energy. He was a predator among predators. A Black Wolf Alpha. What was he doing here at a mid-level pack ceremony?

"Seraphina," the Shaman called, his voice laced with pity.

I stepped forward, my breath hitching. Cameron was already standing in the center of the ritual circle. As I walked toward him, the room went dead silent. Then, the tittering started.

"No way," someone gasped.

"The Goddess must be joking," another laughed.

As I reached the edge of the circle, the air between Cameron and me began to hum. A spark of silver light jumped from the floor, swirling around our feet. The scent hit me like a physical blow—sandalwood and expensive cologne.

My heart froze. The bond was snapping into place.

Cameron, the man who had spent the last five years making my life a living hell, was my fated mate.

The Hall erupted. It wasn't cheers. It was a roar of mocking laughter.

"An Alpha and an Omega?" a warrior shouted, clutching his stomach. "Cameron, did you piss off the Moon Goddess in a past life?"

"She’s a gutter rat!" a girl screamed. "She can't even shift properly!"

I looked up at Cameron. I expected shock. Maybe even a flicker of the "mate pull" that was supposed to make his heart soften.

Instead, I saw pure, unadulterated disgust. His handsome face twisted into a sneer so vile it felt like a slap. He looked at me as if I were a pile of trash he’d just stepped in.

"You?" he whispered, his voice vibrating with rage. "I am the future Alpha of the Crescent Moon Pack. I am meant for greatness, for a Luna who can lead armies."

He stepped closer, leaning down so only I could hear him. His breath was hot against my ear, but his words were ice. "You are a worthless, pathetic orphan, Seraphina. You’re a stain on my bloodline. Did you think a magical bond would make me love you? Did you think this would make you my equal?"

I stared back at him, my expression cold and flat. I didn't cry. I didn't beg. My silence seemed to infuriate him even more.

"Answer me, Omega!" he growled, his Alpha aura flaring.

Most Omegas would have collapsed to their knees under that pressure. I didn't even blink. The Lycan fire in my veins swallowed his weak Alpha pressure whole. But I kept my posture slumped, playing the part.

"The bond is a mistake," I said softly.

"You’re damn right it’s a mistake," Cameron shouted, turning to face the crowd. He raised his hand, silencing the laughter. He wanted everyone to see this. He wanted the humiliation to be complete.

Up on the balcony, the mysterious stranger leaned forward. I could feel his gaze burning into me, heavy and expectant. He wasn't laughing. He was waiting.

Alpha Richard stepped forward, his face red with embarrassment. "Cameron, this is a disgrace to our family. We cannot have a Luna who cleans the toilets."

"I know, Father," Cameron said loudly. He turned back to me, his eyes glowing with a cruel light. He took a deep breath, the air around him shimmering with the power of his rank.

This was it. The public rejection. The ultimate shame in werewolf culture. Once a mate was rejected publicly, they were often cast out, becoming omegas of the lowest order—or worse, exiled.

"I, Cameron Vance, future Alpha of the Crescent Moon Pack..." he began, his voice booming through the rafters.

As he spoke the words, something inside me snapped.

For ten years, I had kept the beast caged. I had let them kick me. I had let them starve me. I had watched them celebrate on the graves of my ancestors. I had stayed quiet to survive.

But as the rejection ceremony began, the seal on my soul cracked.

A low, vibrating hum started in my chest. It wasn't a whimper. It was a growl that sounded like grinding tectonic plates. My vision began to bleed into a sharp, crystalline silver. The herbs I had taken to mask my scent were being burned away by the sheer heat rising from my skin.

Let him say it, my inner wolf hissed, her voice a regal, terrifying echo. Let him break the bond. Then, we show them what a real Queen looks like.

Cameron’s hand moved to grab my throat, to force me to look at him as he finished the vow.

"I reject you, Seraphina, as my mate and—"

He stopped. His fingers froze an inch from my skin.

The temperature in the room dropped twenty degrees. The torches lining the walls flickered and died, leaving the hall in a terrifying, ghostly twilight.

I looked up, and for the first time, I let the mask slip. My eyes weren't the dull brown of a human orphan anymore. They were glowing with the fierce, blinding white light of the Ancient Lycans.

The floor beneath my sneakers began to crack.

"Finish it, Cameron," I whispered, my voice echoing with a power that made the Alpha's son stumble back in terror. "Reject me. I dare you."
