The just-risen sun shone softly on the streets, there, where a detached David was lamely sauntering on — with a mind that was awfully caged by unpleasant and poisonous thoughts.

They were thoughts that threw his soul into an abyss of dread and helplessness. An aura of grey had already enslaved his whole body in a pit of nothingness. He walked like a sick man who knew how many days were left for him to 'enjoy' the warmness of life.

His hands were carelessly thrown in the darkness of his pockets whilst his half-opened eyes witnessed the sun as it washed the small part of the city he was in, with its warmth, bringing the streets in a flurry of early-morning activity.

Every human being that David walked past wore hell-serious faces that scared him a little. It was Monday, everyone was hurrying towards their destinations. Cars roared unceremoniously, away to where their destined locations were — they drove past David who at this point seemed to be a lost soul, wandering a
