"Fuck! You're dead, today!"
"Hahaha... try it if you can, asshole!"
Aslan stepped on the gas harder. The highway was quieter at night, at least much quieter than in the daytime. Aslan laughed out loud, enjoying the adrenaline rush of speeding with his enemy.
A car horn sounded from behind. Aslan drove faster. He was not going to let his enemy win. This was not really a race. Aslan had just happened to run into a group of young men he'd beaten up a while back for being rude to him. They seemed to be holding a grudge. Aslan was alone this time, none of his minions were following him, so he hurriedly escaped in his car and created this indirect race.
"Bastards! Come down if you dare! Don't just hide behind your fancy car."
Aslan chuckled as the gang caught up with him. "Well, I know my car is fancy, thanks."
Aslan stepped on the gas again. The speed of the car increased dramatically. His pursuers fell farther and farther behind.
"Hahaha! Those rats can't keep up with me! Wohoo!"
Aslan was too busy looking in his rearview mirror to notice another vehicle coming from the opposite direction. He only noticed when the car's headlights shone on him and its horn honked loudly.
"Oh, shit!"
Aslan panicked, reflexively jerking the steering wheel to the side. He also tried to slam on the brakes as the car pulled into a gas station. Because of his speed, Aslan was unable to stop his car in time. The front of his car hit another car that happened to be parked at the gas station. The sound of the crash was quite loud.
"Damn it! I hit someone's car."
The car of the cowards chasing Aslan had stopped not far from the gas station. They saw Aslan's car swerve and hit another car at the gas station. As soon as they saw that, they quickly turned around and fled before they got involved.
Aslan touched his forehead. There was a small abrasion. But it was nothing to worry about right now.
"Ouch, now what?"
Inevitably, Aslan got out of his car to inspect it. He knocked on the glass of the car door and found no one inside. A small feeling of relief rose in his heart.
"Well, at least no one died," Aslan muttered to himself.
"But my car is badly damaged."
Someone suddenly spoke from behind Aslan's body. Aslan's heart pounded. He jumped in surprise at the person's arrival.
"Oh, my God! You scared the hell out of me!"
The man, dressed in a neat suit, crossed his arms over his chest and glared at Aslan.
Aslan cleared his throat. "So this is your car?"
"That's right, and you just wrecked it."
Aslan took a long breath. "Oh, come on, it's just a little scratched."
The man rolled his eyes. "A little?"
"Okay, okay, a lot. But your car is not broken."
"And how are you going to take responsibility for that, huh?"
Aslan scratched his neck. "Money. Okay, I'll give you money. You can go to a garage or hire a mechanic to fix it. How's that?"
The man smiled sarcastically. "Is that how you take responsibility? With money? Are you just a spoiled rich kid or something?"
Aslan snorted in annoyance. He hated being thought of that way most of all, although he was not wrong.
"Hey, I'm trying to be nice here. Don't make me angry."
The man just looked at Aslan with a lazy look in his eyes. Suddenly, he pulled out his cell phone and dialed someone. At first, Aslan thought the man was calling his family or perhaps a friend, but he was wrong. The man was calling a local cop.
"What the hell? You called the cops?!"
The man grinned. "Yeah, you got to take responsibility, you spoiled brat."
Aslan squeezed his own head. This is bad. This was really bad.
"Fuck! Why did you even call the cops? I can pay for your car, you know!"
Shortly after Aslan had argued with the man, the sound of cop sirens could be heard approaching. Aslan was confused. He wanted to get into his car and run away, but the man grabbed his arm.
"Watch out if you dare to run."
And so Aslan ended up at the police station. A fat policeman asked him a lot of questions. Aslan was really dizzy.
"Name?"
"Aslan."
"Aslan... who?"
Aslan took a long breath. "Kennedy."
"Second gender?"
Aslan chuckled in annoyance. "Is that necessary? I thought second gender was private."
"We're just doing a procedure to check your identity against the police database."
"I don't want to answer."
"How dare you resist a police officer."
Aslan stuck out his tongue. "I don't care!"
"You!"
The man who had reported him earlier suddenly approached. "That's all right, no need to force him, officer. Or... Just get your family here to pick you up."
Aslan gritted his teeth. "Fine! I'm a Beta."
The man raised an eyebrow. "Oh yeah?"
Aslan gave the man a sharp look. "What the hell are you talking about? I could clearly give you money to fix your crappy car, and instead you're taking me to the police station."
The man chuckled. "Nothing, I just wanted a spoiled brat like you to learn some manners."
"Fuck you!"
The man looked at the policeman dealing with Aslan. "Officer, can I have a little chat with him? I just want a little apology from him."
The policeman took a long breath and nodded. "Fine. Just don't let him out until his family gets here."
The man nodded. "Of course."
This time, Aslan was facing the man. He was too lazy to look at him. He was already annoyed.
"Come on, are you angry with me? Shouldn't I be angry with you?"
Aslan snorted. "Shut up."
"I'm Skylar, by the way. Skylar Reynolds."
"I don't need an introduction."
The man who claimed to be Skylar shrugged. "I just wanted you to know. You said earlier that your name was Aslan. Aslan Kennedy. Is it possible you're from the Kennedy family?"
Aslan's shoulders immediately stiffened when Skylar asked. He remained silent for a few moments, but Skylar continued to watch him.
"So it's true, huh?"
Aslan snorted. "No, probably just the same name. How many Kennedy names do you think there are in the world, huh?"
"Yeah, you're right. And why don't you tell me your second gender? I mean, that's a common thing when it comes to identity registration, right?"
Aslan looked at Skylar pointedly. "None of your business."
"So you don't want to contact your family? Or do you just want to stay at the police station until tomorrow?"
Skylar enjoyed the way Aslan's expression changed every time he asked a question. Skylar knew that Aslan was clearly not that much younger than he was. Maybe they were not that far apart in age, but Aslan's demeanor was much more childish.
Skylar kept trying to ask him things, and Aslan kept showing a distracted expression. They continued like this for a while, until three men in neat black suits entered the police station and spoke to the officers on duty.
"Are they your family or... your bodyguards?"
Aslan turned his head, and the look on his face immediately turned to annoyance. "Shit, why are they even here?"
Skylar continued to watch Aslan, then he chuckled, "So it's true? You're that Kennedy?"
"Shut up!"
"Mr. Aslan, we have to go. The matter with the cops is settled."
Aslan snorted in annoyance. "What the hell are you doing here?"
"Your brother asked us to come get Mr. Aslan."
Aslan exhaled heavily. "And how did Allen know I was at the police station?"
The three bodyguards did not answer Aslan's question. They quickly led Aslan out of the station. Skylar had overheard Aslan's conversation. He followed Aslan and the guards outside. The policemen, who had been so stern, were immediately subdued.
Just as Aslan got into his escort's car, Skylar waved with a grin.
"Hey, Ash, you still haven't compensated me yet for the damage to my car, remember?"
The bodyguards looked at Skylar. "We'll take care of your car right away. Please excuse us."
The car drove away. Skylar chuckled. "Trying to hide his true identity, huh? But why? If he's really from that Kennedy family, shouldn't he be proud of it? He's a Kennedy, so why is his second gender Beta? This Kennedy family, isn't it famous for having a bunch of alphas?"

Mario gulped nervously when he realized that Allen was staring at him so sharply. He felt like a criminal caught red-handed. Ever since he first met Allen, Mario had been afraid of him. Now, his fear was many times more intense. He was afraid that Allen would blame him for the disaster that had befallen Aslan.Besides Allen, the two main bodyguards who had accompanied Aslan to the base camp that night were also present. Mario trembled with fear as Allen walked toward him. He lowered his head, daring not to look into the man’s eyes.“Mario.”When his name was called, he immediately froze. His heart pounded, and his skin shivered. Allen's dominance aura was so strong that Mario found it difficult to even talk to him.“I received a report from home that Aslan ran away. Did he run away to meet you by jumping out of his room?” he asked. At that moment, Mario looked up with a surprised expression. "What? Ah, sorry, Mr. Kennedy. I... I didn't know Aslan had run away from home. I thought he h
Skylar immediately got into the car where Aslan was curled up in pain. Seeing Mario's jacket wrapped around Aslan, Skylar threw it off. Although not as strong as Skylar's, the alpha pheromones still lingered. Skylar didn't like the scent of other pheromones on Aslan's body. It made him want to puke.Mario followed him into the car shortly thereafter. Skylar looked at him sharply, making Mario shiver. He was confused about what he had done wrong to make Skylar glare at him. Whenever Skylar looked at him sharply like that, Mario always felt goosebumps."Wh—what? Why are you looking at me like that?""You... Did you touch Aslan?" he asked.Mario swallowed nervously. He immediately remembered his lecherous behavior earlier. He had been mesmerized by Aslan's face and his rosy lips. Even worse, just by looking at Aslan's seductive lips, Mario had become aroused. He might not have touched Aslan any further, but what he did do, was still really bad."Of course I touched Aslan! You asked me to
As Skylar's pheromones grew stronger, Mario hurriedly picked up Aslan and carried him out of the old building. It was difficult for Mario to carry Aslan and put him in the car because he was overwhelmed by Skylar's pheromones, which dominated the air.Once he managed to put Aslan in the car, Mario immediately closed the door. The perfume he had brought with him was still there, so he quickly sprayed the entire bottle into Skylar's car to counteract his pheromones."Ash, hey..."Mario touched Aslan’s cheek and forehead. The young man’s body temperature was extremely high. His face was flushed and sweaty. Not only that, but his breathing was labored, too.“Ash, are you okay?”Aslan didn’t respond. His lips were slightly parted, and he kept moaning as if he were delirious.“Can you wake up? It’s me, Mario.”Mario tried to wake Aslan by gently patting his cheek, but this only made Aslan groan more. His body also seemed to be trembling. Mario had only intended to wake Aslan at first. He wa
The kidnapper approached Aslan to check his condition. From any angle, it was clear that Aslan was in a dire state. He kept coughing up blood and vomiting. His nosebleeds wouldn't stop either. He also kept hallucinating and mentioning his father. He kept repeating the word “sorry” to his father."Boss, do something! He...he might die!"The kidnapper flew into a rage and punched his underling in the face. "Shut up!"The underling fell to the ground with a bleeding lip. The problem was that he already panicking, and his underling only added to his panic. Making his mood even worse. The kidnapper took a deep breath, trying to calm down. He immediately contacted the person who had given him the mission. Fortunately, the call connected shortly afterward."How about it? Did you manage to do it?"A woman's voice came from the other end of the call. The kidnapper roughly wiped his face. "There's a problem here."“What do you mean?”"The boy seems to have overdosed."“What are you talking abou
"What do you mean? Aslan is in danger? How do you know about that?"Instead of answering Mario's question, Skylar's breathing became even more rapid. His chest hurt badly."Hey, why are you silent?! Explain what you mean by Aslan being in danger! Hey!" Mario kept pressing Skylar for an answer, even though the man was struggling to endure the pain in his chest.Originally, Mario is intimidated by Skylar, but now he dared to press him for an explanation of his statement that Aslan was in danger. Mario didn't understand. Neither of them knew where Aslan was at the moment, but Skylar suddenly said that Aslan was in danger."Hey, answer me! Answer me now!""Argh!" Skylar clutched his chest even tighter. Beads of sweat appeared on his forehead and began to drip. Mario was startled. He had never imagined seeing Skylar in such a state. Skylar had always seemed strong and intimidating. But this time, he looked genuinely in pain."Hey... What's happening? Why are you in pain?”Skylar gasped for
"Are you deaf? I already told you, Aslan isn't here. He hasn't arrived, nor has he given any news. He—"Before Mario could finish, Skylar suddenly grabbed his collar. His grip was so tight that Mario felt a little intimidated. At such close range, Mario could see a dangerous glint in the man's eyes."What are you doing, you bastard?!" Mario shouted angrily. He knew he wouldn’t stand a chance against Skylar in a fight, but he didn’t want to show weakness in front of another alpha. Alphas didn’t like being underestimated, so they always tried to show their strength in any situation."Idiot! How could you lose Aslan? Aren’t you the friend who always goes everywhere with Aslan?"Mario was annoyed at being called an idiot by Skylar. He grabbed Skylar’s wrist and scratched it with his nails.“How dare you call me an idiot! Who do you think you are? Don’t act like you’re close to Aslan just because you’ve met him a few times.”"Then what about you? Should I tell you not to act like you’re hi
