Third Person’s POV

The first thing Athena felt was the feeling of cold water against her skin, from head to toe.

The water soaked her hair and ran down her face causing her to jerk violently, choking as she dragged in a breath.

She coughs again, twisting against the restraints around her wrists.

Her head throbbed like it wasn't just water that was poured all over her.

Third person's POVClara didn't always have her way with lying. She hated the way it made her stomach twist and the way she had to rack her brain for every perfect word so it'd sound as true as she wanted. But if she wanted Athena to believe her, she couldn't afford to hesitate or think too hard. She sat alone in a small, deserted café on the outskirts of the city, watching the entrance through the reflection in the darkened window. She had rented the whole place and paid away the workers. She chose the restaurant because it was far from the busy street to offer privacy, but close enough to a main road that she wouldn't have to drag an unconscious woman through miles of forest if everything went according to plan. IF. Clara narrowed her gaze towards her wrist watch, unsatisfied, she reached for her phone and glanced at the time. Athena was three minutes late and it made her restless, giving rooms for all types of thoughts to swarm her head. She resisted the urge to check the t

Third Person's POVAegon and Elia sat on both their beds, both hadn't said a word since they woke up from their little nap. Usually, they would have found a hundred things to argue about how, about who got the bigger pillow and who had stolen whose blanket. Who was allowed to sleep closer to the window. But tonight, neither of them cared enough to say a word. Elia sat cross-legged on the bed, hugging a pillow against her chest. Her eyes were swollen from crying, and every few seconds, she glanced toward the closed bedroom door. The marks around her neck had faded but she still felt the pain of her mother's hands closing around it and it made it unable for her to close her eyes. Arfon sat opposite her, his legs dangling over the edge of the mattress. He hadn't said much since their father brought them into the room , how could he?The shock of having their mother pull out the knife and pin his sister down to the bed, what kept him still was the look in the mother's eyes. He had s

Thirds person POV ‘I need a shower.’ Ivy thought to herself, staring down at her damp sweatshirt and tank top outfit she had been wearing for the past two days. Ivy pressed her lips to form a thin line, she sat on the couch in the living room, spinning a pen in between her fingers as she waited for Clara to be done. She easily found where Athena was living and had sent out the message but at some point she didn't like the idea but then there was Ayla. Possessed by one of the entities and driven to almost kill her kids. Ivy rubbed at her temples, she could feel power drain from her with each spell they conducted and originally, it wasn't like this. But there was only so much a line witch could achieve, especially when her strength came from elders who must have passed on to the afterlife. Though she hadn't told anyone this, after dealing with this entity and conducting the spell, she'll live a mortal life with Clara. Clara's heels disrupted her thoughts as she came into view, w

Third person's POV The house had begun to suffocate her. Athena stood beside the living room window, staring through a narrowed gap in the curtains while she flickered ash from the cigarette in-between her fingers before taking another drag. She watched the delivery guy trick rumbled past and her neighbor mowed the lawn. Pffttt. Ordinary people living ordinary lives. She blew out smoke and scoffed. “You think I could fly you to Korea next week? I heard plastic surgery costs less." She dragged again. “Didn't think of the flight cost?" Aiden's mother sneered.. Athena released the curtain and turned. Aiden's mother was stretched across the sofa, a blanket covering her legs. Her grey hair tied into her peacock patterned scarf. Although the hospital had discharged her, she still looked frail. Her skin was pale, and the dark circles beneath her eyes made her appear older than she was. The illness had worked her body but not her appetite for revenge. Athena walked o

Ayla's POVI was sitting in the sitting room when I first realized something was really wrong with me. At first, I thought it was exhaustion and the fact that I watched my kids enter into the circle had drained me. I remembered when ivy snapped her head, I remembered how my kids reacted and I was half way through rubbing my temples when I heard it. “Ayla." Like a soft whisper in my head. I turned to Killian but he was talking to Clara and when I looked down, black tendrils had wrapped themselves around my wrists. My heart skipped two beats, racing from panic. I looked up to call out to Killian but no one was there, the children had vanished so had ivy and Clara. In front of me now stood a tall shadowy figure with no discernible face. "Hello Ayla.” I didn't like the energy emitting from him, I didn't like the smell, I didn't like his presence and the mild fear I felt from it. "Your children are fine…." The voice rasped. “For now.” I looked down at the grip around my wrists
