Ayla's povThe grand hall was decorated exquisitely, since this was a ball not only for our pack but for other neighboring packs. The air smelt of fresh pine and the scented candles and the pack members were dressed in shades of midnight blue while others outside the pack wore moon-white dresses, they moved in elegant circles and their laughed filled the air. Everyone looked perfect and confident. Everyone but me. I forced a smile while I stood at the top of the staircase, smoothing my simple white dress and the moon pendant I owned, the only thing I had on me that was mine when father brought me into this pack. My palms were sweating, so badly that I thought they might actually drip but I could only bit down my lip to hide my tension. I looked down at my father, Beta Rowan, who I hadn't noticed had been waiting at the foot of the stairs. his arms were crossed as he said. “You took long enough, thought you'd faint before the ceremony, that would have been… impressive” his tone w

Ayla's povBy the time I reached Silver fang pack territory, dawn was breaking. I ran all night, the gravel of the forest biting into my bare feet, I refused to let Nyx take me since I wanted the pain, I needed it. It would be proof that I was still alive after what he had done to me. I stopped at the edge of the courtyard, wolves already gathering. I caught the sight of Lila, of course she would be there, arms folded with a smug smile on her face, it was almost as if she was waiting for me. I looked around while clutching the hem of my dress, it was as though everyone already knew what happened but then I walked with a straight face. I didn't expect a warm welcome but I wished for at least familiarity. I wished for someone to share my grief. As I reached towards our pack house, I walked into the pack yard and all I felt was dread. Harsh voices rose instantly. “What is she doing back here?" "Didn't she leave with her prince charming?” Another called out. " He probably sent

Ayla's povI swerved right towards my villa. My grip tightened as I drove slowly through the gates that opened automatically. My penthouse was magnificent, painted all white with an interior decoration worth millions of dollars and so was my garage, decorated with cars also worth millions of dollarsAs a werewolf I never saw the need for guards, the only company I had was the only friend I had here in the human world, ‘too much eyes on me could risk everything’ I'd tell myself as a precaution, which pretty much sounded stupid now since there was someone out there aware of my existence. Maybe there were more than one, maybe it was the whole pack here in Seattle..I stepped on the brakes and parked. My forehead merged with the steering wheel as I sighed heavily, I turned my head and glanced towards my phone, waiting for some sort of miracle, probably a text that said this was all a joke. Instead a call came in. Aiden. I gathered all I had in me before taking the call“Um hey Babe"

Ayla's pov“A witch"I paused, recollected myself and glanced back at her. She looked no more past twenty seven and was very much human. This was surreal. “A witch?"“Yes a witch" she repeated, then waved her hand, suddenly all the lights came up. I could see her face properly and her robe-like dress. “You came" she mummered while moving in a chair from further away, close by before she sat. “Good. I feared you'd run again" ‘as if you were given the option’ Nyx scoffed.I crossed my arms then, whoever this woman thought she was, she was playing a very dangerous game. “I don't run" I stated “you're lucky I even came here, some of us actually have jobs" The lady didn't smile nor blink"Don't both of you sense it?” My brow arched at her irrelevant question. “Surely she would have, since she's been trying to warn you for weeks” she continued I didn't want to pretend like she wasn't referring to Nyx. “My wolf is anxious, not psychic’ I resorted “Is that so” she replied lazily“Yo

Third person's povBLOOD MOON PACK.The council chamber of blood moon pack had grown cold in the past five years but today the air felt sharper, more intense with Kallum’s presence and his aura of dominance. He stood at the head of the obsidian table, arms crossed and barely paying attention to the council members as they ranted about border patrols and rogue sightings.Kallum Reid was known as the most powerful Alpha still existing in the werewolf clan. He has led wars to packs and won, taking all that left of the pack to himself. Packs like Silver fang. Kallum yawned while they bantered. Talk, broad shouldered and carved like someone sculpted him from a moon stone, Kallum was everything Killian used to be. Just colder and cruel and more hungry for power. Their resemblance was unmistakable, Identical bone structure with the same razor cut jaw line, the same dark messy hair, only Killian's hair was always trimmed. Killian's eyes once held warmth, the warmth Ayla had fallen for
