Ayla's pov

In Ivy's lair.

The attic in her warm cozy house.

There were different types of spell books and artifacts. For an average human librarian it seemed normal to keep.

But for a witch it was the right haven.

So Ivy was indeed smart, hiding in the disguise of a normal lady who loved books and everything that came with it.

By dawn of the next day, there was a circle around a table. Sigils around it, there were red candles also placed at each angle.

“I don't feel my wolf, Ivy" I say. Watching her prepare something else.

Ivy didn't say a word.

"I just thought of telling you,” I added.

" Take off anything metal Ayla" the cloak she wore swept the ground as she took the substance and smeared it in the circle.

“and lie on the table in the circle, if you feel your wolf is hidden, by the end of this ritual, that'll change”

My chest weight was slightly lifted.

I took off my earrings and the fancy ring on my pinky finger and went over to lie on the table, barefoot and wearing not

Ayla's pov. The bathroom door opened to Killian, he came out with steam clinging to his skin, a white towel hanging low around his waist, droplets of water tracing slow paths down his chest. He subconsciously ran a hand through his damp hair which was oddly sexy, I admired some more until his eyes found mine as I sat with legs crossed on the edge of the bed. I hadn't moved since he went in, what Ivy said made me uncomfortable, though I tried to shake it off, it still lingered. What did she mean Aiden may not be ordinary, had my presence turned him into something else. My shoulders were slightly tensed but my gaze remained on him. “You're looking at me like I'm some weird elf" he cornered a smile which I returned. For a moment I debated on whether to tell him anything at all but it involved him and even if I wanted to shrug it off as one of Ivy's exaggerations. " Ivy called,” I said, "Before you came out.” Killian's posture changed instantly. The ease left him and was replaced

Third person's pov A normal witch's soul couldn't be in another dimension while his body was in another, it could be escorted by grim reapers who would think the soul was dead. But that is the thing with black witches and astral projecting. Their souls were already dark. The grim reaper wouldn't notice if it was a lost soul or not. It was why Erebus still sat with Kallum who took small sips from his glass. “Leave us.” Kallum turned to Lila. Lila blinked. "But..” "Now.” he snapped. Lia clenched her fist as her jaw tightened. “I want Ayla killed" “And she will be. You just have to do what you haven't been doing these past few days. Listening to me." “Oh I stopped doing that the minute you turned on me" Lila tried not to sound harsh but she meant every word. She could still feel the pressure on her neck like it was yesterday he made her personal advisor and choked her to the wall in rage. "Considering that and also the fact that I am your only ally. You have no choi

Third person's pov Kallum stood near the tall arched window of his room, holding a glass of almost finished alcohol. His chambers were filled with empty bottles which the servants cleared out everyday. It wasn't as though he could do anything more than to drink and wait. One of his hands clasped behind his back as he stared out at the forest outside his pack house like Killian would appear right from the trees. Kallum thought of the blood moon and how it changed everything. He did become Alpha as planned but the one thing he feared worse happened as well and now he waited on Erebus, he trusted Erebus. And the ritual he had been planning? Where he planned on channeling ancestral power to overcome Killian. Though Killian had been feral for five years, Kallum knew he was like a newborn now. Someone who was lost in something like a hibernation and was now awakened to a version of himself he must have forgotten.Regardless he needed to perform it, channeling power would give him

Third person's pov Ayla called Ivy the second she got a hold of her phone, she sat on the edge of the bed as she dialed the number. Ivy had never called her so many times. She assumed it would be something important or something about the prophecy. But then she listened to the voicemails first, Ivy sounded worried and it made her worried as well and when she heard something being wrong with Killian, she tried as much as she could to be calm. “Ayla?" Ivy called out after taking the call “where have you been??" “Okay hold your horses, I just saw your calls" she said quickly. “The waitress saw my phone laying on the table after we had dinner, I just got it." Ivy opened her mouth to say something but Ayla Interrupted..“I also got the voice message..” she said “so please, tell me things are fine and that you've got it sorted out" “Sorted out, you say?" Ivy crossed over towards the reading section “Ayla. There is a witch in town" she pressed on, hoping Ayla heard her this time, so sh

Third person's pov The moment Ivy activated the ring, Erebus felt it, in his bones and in his veins. It was one thing black magic had taught him, to bend through the loop holes and follow any illegal back door possible. A normal witch wouldn't know that magic traveled silently, that it displaced a certain energy that could be once again used for a greater cause. The ring he had dropped into her clutches, had been designed to do exactly that. To follow the back door for him. At first his Raven felt something off and so did he. There was something about the book store that reeked of witchcraft that had no traceable source. Then there was this faint wolf smell which he couldn't ignore. He was in his original form now, the form where half of his face as scarred, he wore his cloak and emitted his usual dark energy. Erebus slid in the back room of a human café that had closed hours earlier, the smell of stale coffee and sugar still clung to the air as red candles burned lo

  • The Broken Luna, Reborn    Chapter Fifty Six: An Interference.

Third person's pov The line rang. Once. Twice. Voicemail. Ivy combed through her hair with her fingers as she dialed again. There was no answer on the third and fourth ring and over to the bed was Clara string once again. “Pick up." She groaned in an inaudible voice. All.she wanted was to be sure they were in bed having sex or sleeping and not probably in the clutches of a maniac dark witch.Clara stirred again in her sleep and this time Ivy was sure she would wake up if she didn't go back to bed right now. Sighing in frustration, she clutched the phone and returned to bed. Tomorrow, she would call her but if she was still unreachable then she has no choice but to create a protection spell. ***The best time to act was after Clara left for the office from the book store, though she came back again to get a ledger she forgot, after she was gone and Ivy was sure she wouldn't be back until noon. She flipped the store sign that said ‘open’ back to ‘closed’ and reached for her phone.
