(Ivy’s POV)

The pack felt different when I woke up. It was quieter than usual. And just a gut feeling, I don’t think it’s because of a good reason.

Before I could even sit up straight, Celina barged into my room with a tray in her hands.


“Eat,” she said, setting it down on the bedside table. “And get ready. We’re leaving in an hour.”

I rubbed my eyes, confused. “Leaving? Where are we going?”

She turned, her face tense. “We’re regrouping and checking the affected packs. The ones that were attacked by rogues. We need to see if there are survivors… and if we’re lucky, we might get some leads.”

I nodded slowly, the heaviness of her words sinking in. When I looked at her again, I noticed her face was scrunched up, worry etched on her face.

“You don’t seem okay,” I said softly. “What’s bothering you?”

Celina gave a short, humorless laugh before sitting on the edge of my bed. “Is it that obvious?”
