Chapter Fifty-Five

Even though it was the third knock on my door, I kept laying in bed, hoping that whoever was at the door would go away, and yet I was kind of hoping and not hoping that it was Atlas.

"Miss, it's time to get up!” Maira's voice echoed into my ear, and I felt annoyed.

Hugging onto my pillow, I rolled over to avoid the sudden rising sunlight and buried my face into it.

The annoying heartache of a breakup is just the worst, and even though I had to meet Linda like an hour from now, all I really wanted to do was stay in bed.

“Your breakfast is going to get cold,” Maira said from the other end of the door.
