Chapter 5

The desk intercom buzzed at exactly 14:37.

Ethan had already been waiting—or dreading—it since he returned from the bathroom. The report was still open on his laptop, the phrase “Rare male Omega” blinking like a red accusation. He hadn’t closed the tab. He couldn’t. Every time he looked at the words, his body reacted: a tingling at the nape of his neck, a clench low in his belly, a fresh hot rush between his legs that forced him to squeeze his thighs hard under the desk.

The executive assistant’s voice came through the speaker, dry and professional:

“Moore. Mr. Blackwood requests your immediate presence in his office. 32nd floor. Don’t delay.”

Ethan didn’t reply. He just disconnected the intercom with a trembling finger. He stood slowly, as if any sudden movement might make his body explode. His dress pants were damp again—the spare underwear already starting to soak through. He felt the slick slide slowly down the inside of his left thigh as he walked to the elevator.

The private elevator opened the moment he pressed the button. As if it had been waiting for him.

Inside, Adrian’s scent still lingered, stronger than before. Burnt wood, leather, storm. Ethan leaned against the wall opposite the door and closed his eyes, breathing through his mouth. It didn’t help. The aroma invaded his nostrils, slid down his throat, settled in his chest and sank lower, making his cock throb against the tight fabric.

The elevator rose in absolute silence.

When the doors opened on the 32nd floor, the assistant was standing by the double dark mahogany doors. She didn’t even look at his face—just gestured for him to enter.

“He’s waiting.”

Ethan passed her without a word. His legs felt like lead and cotton at the same time.

Adrian’s office was immense. Floor-to-ceiling glass walls on three sides, a panoramic view of the city stretching to the horizon. A polished ebony table long enough for ten people, but empty except for a single black folder in the center. And Adrian.

Standing by the window, back to the door, hands in the pockets of his suit. Broad shoulders tense, posture rigid as if he were holding himself together by a thread.

Ethan stopped at the entrance. The door closed behind him with a soft, final click.

Silence.

Adrian didn’t turn immediately. He inhaled deeply. Ethan saw his shoulders rise and fall slowly, as if he were feeding on the scent Ethan had brought with him.

“Close the door,” Adrian said, voice low, controlled, but rough at the edges.

“It’s already closed,” Ethan replied. His voice came out weaker than intended.

Adrian turned then.

The steel-gray eyes were almost black. Pupils blown wide. Nostrils slightly flared. He took one step forward. Then another. Ethan instinctively backed up until his back hit the wooden door.

Adrian stopped two meters away. Far enough not to touch. Close enough for Ethan to feel the heat radiating from his body like a furnace.

“You read the report.” It wasn’t a question.

Ethan swallowed hard.

“Yes.”

“And?”

“I… don’t understand. I’ve always been human. My tests—”

“Your tests lie,” Adrian interrupted. His voice was deep, almost a growl. “Or they were manipulated. Or suppressed. But your body doesn’t lie. Not anymore.”

He took another step.

Now he was one meter away.

Ethan felt the air thicken. Grow hotter. Adrian’s scent enveloped him completely—possessive, dominant, irresistible. His cock gave a painful throb. Between his legs, the slick increased, leaking slowly, making his underwear sticky and hot.

“I can feel you,” Adrian murmured, eyes locked on his. “Every drop. Every tremor. Every time you clench trying to hide how wet you are for me.”

Ethan gasped. The words hit hard. He squeezed his thighs tighter, but it only made it worse—the friction drew a low moan from him.

Adrian closed his eyes for a second. As if it hurt to hear it.

“Stop fighting,” he said, voice even lower. “You’re entering heat. Latent, but heat. And I’m the Alpha your body recognizes as mate. As destiny.”

Ethan shook his head.

“This doesn’t exist. Wolves, destiny, heat… this is madness.”

Adrian opened his eyes again. They were completely black now.

“Then why is your body shaking? Why are you dripping through your pants just because I’m near? Why do you want me to touch you even though you know it’s wrong?”

He took the final step.

Now they were pressed together. Adrian’s chest against Ethan’s. Knees brushing. Adrian’s hard erection pressing into Ethan’s stomach through layers of fabric. Ethan felt everything—the thick length, the pulsing, the heat.

This time he moaned loudly. Couldn’t hold it back.

Adrian lifted a hand to his face. Thumb tracing the line of his jaw. Then up to the lower lip, pressing lightly, parting Ethan’s mouth.

“Say you don’t want it,” Adrian whispered. “Say you don’t want my mouth on yours. My tongue in yours. My cock inside you until you scream my name.”

Ethan was shaking all over. Hot tears slipped from the corners of his eyes.

“I… I don’t know what I want,” he lied.

Adrian growled low. The sound reverberated in Ethan’s chest.

Then he leaned in.

Slow. Deliberate.

His nose brushed Ethan’s cheek first. Then the curve of his jaw. Then his ear. He inhaled deeply there, as if drowning in his scent.

“You want everything,” he murmured against the skin. “You want me to lay you on that table. You want me to rip your pants open. You want me to fuck you until you can’t walk. You want my mark on your neck so everyone knows you’re mine.”

Ethan closed his eyes. His head fell back against the door. Neck bared. Instinctive submission.

Adrian dragged his lips along his jugular. Not kissing. Not yet. Just brushing. Hot. Wet. His tongue flicked out lightly, licking a thin line across the skin.

Ethan moaned loudly. His hips jerked forward without permission, grinding against Adrian’s erection.

“Adrian…”

The name came out like a plea.

Adrian froze.

Then he grabbed Ethan’s face with both hands. Thumbs on his cheekbones, fingers at the nape. Pulled him in.

Their lips touched.

It wasn’t a kiss yet. Just a brush. Lips against lips. Breath mingling. Hot. Electric.

Ethan opened his mouth first. A low moan escaped. Adrian answered with a guttural growl.

And then they kissed.

It wasn’t gentle.

It was ravenous.

Adrian invaded his mouth with his tongue, possessive, demanding. Ethan surrendered immediately—tongue against tongue, teeth grazing, muffled moans. Ethan’s hands rose to Adrian’s broad chest, clutching the expensive shirt, crumpling the fabric. Adrian pressed his entire body against him, pinning him to the door. A strong thigh wedged between Ethan’s legs, pressing exactly where he needed it most.

Ethan cried out into his mouth. The friction was perfect. Painfully good. He ground shamelessly against Adrian’s thigh, chasing more pressure, more friction. The slick poured freely now, soaking his pants, dripping to the floor.

Adrian slid one hand to Ethan’s waist. Slipped his fingers under the shirt, touching bare skin. Moved upward slowly, tracing ribs, brushing the hardened nipple with his thumb.

Ethan arched against him. Whimpered.

Adrian broke the kiss for a second. Pressed his forehead to Ethan’s. Heavy, panting breaths.

“You’re mine,” he growled. “Say it.”

“I… I’m yours,” Ethan whispered, voice broken.

Adrian growled in satisfaction. Kissed him again, deeper, dirtier. The hand slid down to Ethan’s ass, gripping hard, pulling him closer until there was no space left between them.

Ethan felt Adrian’s cock pulse against his stomach. Felt his own body open further—inner muscles clenching in empty spasms, begging to be filled.

And then it came.

A different wave of heat.

More intense.

Deeper.

It started low in his belly and spread like liquid fire. The fever spiked in seconds. Vision blurred. His whole body shook violently.

Ethan pulled back from the kiss with a moan of pain mixed with pleasure.

“Adrian… something… something’s happening…”

Adrian froze. Scented the air.

The scent changed.

Sweeter. Denser. More desperate.

Latent heat.

Ethan was entering latent heat.

Adrian’s eyes widened for a second—surprise, hunger, panic.

He grabbed Ethan’s shoulders, holding him up as his legs buckled.

“Ethan…”

But Ethan could no longer hear clearly.

The world spun.

The heat was unbearable.

Between his legs, the slick turned into a flood—hot, thick, running down his thighs, soaking his pants completely.

He clutched Adrian’s shirt hard.

“Help me… please…”

Adrian pulled him against his chest. Strong arms wrapping around him completely.

But his eyes were black with desire and inner struggle.

And the scent of Ethan’s latent heat filled the entire room.

Like a call.

Like a command.

Like an addiction.

The water was still warm, falling on them both, but the steam rising from the bathroom was no longer enough to mask what was happening between them. The hoarse groan of the name "Adrian" escaping Ethan's lips had been the final straw. The wolf inside Adrian no longer accepted half measures, no longer accepted "medical necessity." He wanted to claim. He wanted to possess. He wanted to mark again and again until there was no doubt left in the Omega's body or soul.Adrian turned off the tap with a brusque movement. The sudden silence was filled only by their heavy breathing and the slow dripping of water on the tiles. He said nothing. He simply bent down, put one arm behind Ethan's knees and the other around his back, lifting him off the ground as if he were made of feathers.Ethan gasped, his hands gripping Ethan's broad shoulders reflexively. Wet skin slid against wet skin. Drops rolled down Adrian's chest, running down his defined muscles until they disappeared into the line of his ab

The room still smelled of sex, heat, and possessiveness. Soaked black sheets, fingernail marks on Adrian's broad back, red streaks on Ethan's thighs where his fingers had squeezed too hard. Ethan lay on his side, his body limp, his breath ragged, the flow still trickling slowly between his legs even after hours of partial relief. The latent heat hadn't gone away—it had only receded, like a low tide that everyone knew would return with greater force.Adrian sat on the edge of the bed, his torn shirt hanging from his shoulders, his pants unbuttoned, looking at Ethan with a mixture of satiated hunger and raw concern. He ran a hand through the damp hair on his face, trying to regain the control he had almost completely lost."You need a shower," he said, his voice hoarse, still heavy with desire. "Your body is overwhelmed. The latent heat is burning you from the inside. Warm water, my scent mixed in… it will help lower the fever and calm the spasms."Ethan blinked slowly, his eyes glazed

Ethan was still trembling from his first orgasm, his body limp and hypersensitive, but the latent heat offered no respite. The emptiness inside him was now a physical pain, a hunger that pulsed with every contraction of his internal muscles. He gripped Adrian's shirt with both hands, nails digging into the fabric, eyes glazed and teary."Touch me… again," he repeated, his voice hoarse, almost unrecognizable. "Don't stop. Please, Adrian… I need more… I need you inside me…"Adrian remained motionless for a full second. The wolf inside him howled, tearing through the last barriers of control. His eyes were completely black, pupils dilated to their maximum, elongated canines brushing against his lower lip."You don't know what you're asking for," he murmured, his voice deep and trembling. "If I enter you now, I won't be able to stop. I'll fuck you until dawn. I'll fill you until you overflow. I'll mark you." And you'll be mine forever.Ethan whimpered. He pushed his hips forward, rubbing

Ethan blinked slowly, still trapped in Adrian's embrace, his limp, feverish body pressed against his broad chest as if it were the only safe place in the world. The enormous black shirt Adrian had put on him smelled exactly like its owner—burnt wood, expensive leather, an impending storm. The fabric brushed against his bare skin beneath, too sensitive, making each breath feel like an unwanted caress. He tried to pull away slightly. Just slightly. To think. To breathe in something other than Adrian. But the arm around his waist tightened like a hot iron shackle."No," Adrian murmured against the nape of his neck, his voice low, hoarse, almost a growl. "Stay."Ethan shuddered. The command wasn't loud. It didn't need to be. It penetrated straight to his spine, made his internal muscles contract in empty spasms, made the hot flow trickle once more between his bare thighs, staining the hem of his shirt.“I… need space,” Ethan lied, his voice trembling so much it barely came out whole.Adri

Adrian Blackwood's room seemed to shrink around them. The air was thick—the scent of Ethan's latent lust mingled with Adrian's dominant aroma, creating a dense, almost palpable haze. Ethan was still pressed against the door, back arched, legs trembling, his dress pants soaked to mid-thigh. The flow wouldn't stop; it dripped hot, thick, leaving a slippery trail he felt with every gasp of breath.Adrian held him by the shoulders, fingers digging into the crumpled shirt, supporting him as if he knew that if he let go, Ethan would collapse."Breathe," Adrian ordered, his voice hoarse, almost unrecognizable. "Slowly. Control it."But Ethan couldn't control anything. The fever rose in violent waves. Every cell in his body seemed to be on fire. His internal muscles contracted rhythmically, empty, desperate for something to fill them, to stretch them, to claim them. His erection throbbed painfully against the damp fabric, rubbing with each involuntary tremor of his hips. His nipples, hardened
