Megan's POV
"What are you doing here?" Dexter asked right away after he opened the door of his place.
"Dex, aren't you happy to see us?" I asked my brother, and I could see the guilt on his face.
"I am busy now, Meg, Ashton, why didn't you call me?" He asked.
"It is something important and I hope you can spare us a little of your time," Ashton responded, and my brother sighed as he turned his back and opened the door wider so we could get inside.
"Have a seat," my brother said as he motioned us to sit on the sofa. His place was immaculate, and I could see that my brother was anxious like me.
"What do you want?" He asked as he sat in front of us.
"Well, I wished to invite you and be my best man since we are having our church wedding in less than a month." My husband replied, and my brother's face fell.
"I am sorry, but let us face it, if you will invite me, I will be bringing Monica with me. She is part of my life now, she is my fiancee, and it would be an insult on her part if I will leave her behind knowing it was my sister's wedding." Dexter responded.
"Of course, we are aware of that, it would be our pleasure to meet your fiancee." My husband stated while I could feel the heaviness of my heart.
"Then, I will be okay with it; just text me if I have to attend the rehearsal and I will be there, I am sorry Meg if I was a pain in the ass for the past few days." My brother replied as he looked at me.
"It is okay, I understand," I softly replied.
We said goodbye to Dexter and I have so many things to tell him, but I kept my mouth shut. I was silent on our way back to Ashton's house.
"Hey, don't worry, my love, everything will be okay, Isabelle will survive." My husband stated.
"I don't want her to be in pain, Ashton, I love your sister like we are related by blood, and I hate my brother for being so hard on himself," I replied as I leaned my head on the glass window of Lennon's car.
"Thank you for loving my sister, Meg, but I want you to know my sister is stronger than you think, she will get hurt, but I'm sure she will be alright," Ashton said, and I let out a soft sigh.
I never expected my parents would be joining us for dinner. I love the laughter and conversation I had with my family and Ashton's family.
"Who invited you, Ava?" I asked when I got the chance to ask my little sister.
"Who else? Your father-in-law," my sister replied with a wide grin.
Axel was dancing in front of his uncles, and grandparents, and I couldn't stop laughing with them as I could feel my heart swell with happiness as I looked at our son.
"Are you excited about your upcoming wedding?" I heard Belle ask me, and when I turned around and faced her she was smiling at me.
"Of course, church wedding is always a bride's dream, and since your brother asked me to marry him, I couldn't say no." I replied, and she laughed.
"My brother is not only excited, but it seemed to me, in your case, the groom is more excited than the bride," she replied and it was my time to laugh.
"Can I talk with you alone, Isabelle?" I asked, and I could see the worries on her face as she nodded her head.
"You are making me nervous, Megan, I know you will only ask me to speak with you alone if it is something important." She declared as she sat on the chaise lounge at the side of the swimming pool.
"Actually, I want to ask you to be my maid of honor," I said, and her lovely face lit up.
"Of course, I would love to, Megan," she replied with excitement all over he face.
"Not only that, Dexter would be the best man," I added, and I could see the shock all over her face, but she recovered quickly and hid what she truly felt.
"We are grown-ups, Megan, I knew what happened between Dexter and me was all in the past now, and now, that he got a fiancee, I am happy for him, that at last, he finally found someone he could love." She tenderly said.
"I knew from the very start, we can never be together, even now that my dad is willing to accept Dexter to be my life partner, too much had happened. We both hurt each other, and I should deal with the fact that we couldn't be together." Belle added.
"Are you sure you will be alright?" I asked and she took my hand.
"Megan, this is all about you and Ashton, I couldn't let my brother down because this is what he wanted. I knew how much he wanted to celebrate your union with your entire family and with ours, don't worry, it would be a day for a celebration of happiness." She declared, and I admired Isabelle, her brother was right, she was stronger than I thought.
"God knows how much I love your brother, Megan, and I will never do anything that will hurt him. I respected him, and I admired him for what he had done to your family, and I am proud of him." Isabelle added.
The following days we became busier, and when the rehearsal came, I only texted Dexter, and I was hoping he would come.
We were at the church for the rehearsal, and we all turn our heads when we heard incoming footsteps; I smiled when I saw my brother getting inside the church alone, I felt thankful he wasn't with Monica. I hastily get on my knees and ran toward him.
"Thank you for coming," I said after I met him near the entrance.
"Promise is a promise, Megan, besides I don't want you to get angry with me." He responded and I laughed.
Isabelle walked towards us and I could see how my brother tensed up as he looked at her with longings in his eyes.
"Hi, I thought I would be walking down the aisle alone," Belle teased my brother and I could see how he blushed.
"Not happening, Belle," he mumbled, and I left them with a beautiful smile on my face hoping maybe it was not yet late for them to rekindle their love story, and I should not forget, if not because
of their past, Ashton will never get the chance to know me, and now he became my husband.
I could tell my brother was enjoying his time with Isabelle, and they looked so great together, at least, now, they are talking, and I hate that it needs to come to a point where they have to hurt each other again. I hope a mircle will happen to them and they will end up togetherr.
I felt so happy to see Alice, it felt a long time ago that I haven't seen my best friend. She looked so beautiful, and her eyes sparkled; I could tell she was glowing, and when she showed me her ring finger, I put my hands on my mouth when I realized my best friend was engaged.
"Why didn't you tell me Zachary had already proposed to you?" I asked, and she smiled.
"I want to tell you the good news in person, I was excited to tell you about it, but with the wedding preparations; I know how busy you are, don't worry, after your church wedding, we will celebrate our engagement." Alice excitedly said, and I was beaming at her.
"I am so happy for you, too, Megan, at least all I could see in your face right now is happiness." She said as she linked her arms with mine.
"Of course, Ashton's dad finally accepted me as Ashton's wife, and he welcome me into his family, and I am now surrounded with all the people that I love." I responded with a smile.
"Finally, I don't need to worry about you anymore," she replied.
"I am sorry, Alice, I knew you feel all the pain that I felt, and thank you for being my best friend all through these years." I declared.
"My pleasure, Megan." She responded.
"Are you excited?" My husband asked as he lay beside me in his king-sized bed.
"About marrying you again?" I asked and he smiled as he pulled me closer to him.
"Yes," he responded.
"Yes, very much, I couldn't wait to marry you again, my love," I replied honestly.
"Me too, and this time I know it would be hard for you to break up with me," he said, and I cupped his face.
"I will never break up with you, Ashton," I responded and a beautiful smile appeared on his handsome face.
"Good to know because I will never let you go, Meg," he stated, and I giggled as he started kissing me
on my neck down to my collarbone.
"I need to see Gael, to personally give him the invitation card," he added after a long while.
"Are you sure you will go alone?" I asked.
"It is best if I should meet him alone, besides, there is nothing to be worried about, we are now married, there is nothing he can do about it; Gael could no longer stop us from marrying each other for the second time around." He said, and I couldn't disgaree with him, and I was hoping everything will be alright since I knew how much it meant for
my husband for me to have the grandest wedding.
"My love," I mumbled.
"Yes?" He asked.
"Always remember, it is only you, our close friends, our family and Axel that matters to me; I want to thank you for all the efforts, I appreciate it, you make me a happy wife." I declared, and he caressed my head.
"I will do everything for you, Meg, all I ever wanted is to put a smile on your face, I love you, Mrs. Pritzgold," he responded, and I closed my eyes with a happy face, and I fall asleep in my husband's arms feeling secured and loved.
Megan's POV"You looked so beautiful, Megan!" Alice exclaimed as she helped me with my veil."Thank you, Alice, I know you will be more beautiful than I am today on your wedding day," I responded."Ha! Don't make me laugh, Megan, you knew that is not true, you looked like a goddess while I am just an ordinary woman you can see walking on the street on an ordinary day." She responded and I shook my head."Stop that, you are beautiful, okay?" I insisted and she beamed at me before she hugged me."I am so happy for you, my best friend, so glad that the heavens favored you. You are marrying Ashton for the second time and your son is your ring bearer, and your family is complete." She declared."Yeah, I know, and I am so happy," I responded."We should get out of the car before your husband will come," Alice said and I laughed. She helped me with my gown as I got out of the bridal car, and I inhaled the fresh air, the day looked so bright and I could tell it is the best day of the year to

Megan's POV"No, that is not a good idea, Ashton," I said after I heard my husband speak about making my brother his best man for our upcoming church wedding."Why not? I want him to be present during our special day, Megan; I know it would make you happy. I knew what your heart desires, my love." He responded."Thank you for considering my feelings, Ashton, but my happiness will not matter anymore; I don't want Isabelle to be miserable on our wedding day," I responded, and he looked at me for a long time before he spoke."Megan, I don't think it will make my sister miserable; she will be happy to see your brother," he declared."Belle will be broken-hearted, Ashton, Dexter has a girlfriend now, and I hate him for turning his back on your sister." I responded with a sad expression on my face."Hey, we both know they are in love with each other, I am sure Dexter got tired of waiting, and it doesn't mean he didn't love my sister anymore." He insisted, and I raised my hands; I didn't wan
Ashton's POVMaking love with my wife would always make me feel excited and complete, and I couldn't explain the happiness I felt as I watched her sleeping peacefully in my arms after the hottest lovemaking we had ever shared. My wife turned me on like crazy, and I found it hard to stop my erection; the way she teased me blew my mind. Megan became bolder in bed, and I loved it, and I knew she only wished to please me.I was watching my wife's face with a beautiful smile on my face.I loved the feeling that I made her exhausted in bed. I knew we planned to have a night alone in the tree house, but something came up, but tomorrow night, it would be only for us, and I didn't want to stop surprising Megan.I wished to make her happy through simple things, and I knew my dad's offer was hard to decline. Marrying my wife for the second time would be the most especially gift we could give her, and I am excited since it was my father's plan.My dad and mom would be there standing beside me on
Megan's POVI know happiness was a gift from God, and after I gave Ashton's dad my forgiveness, I felt different. I didn't hate him, but I wanted to make Gregory accept me for what I am and as his son's wife.I couldn't deny there were moments in my life I wished I belonged to Ashton's world, but I realized I should be proud of who I am and what I have become."You looked so happy now, did your talk with my dad go well?" Isabelle asked when I saw her in the living room after speaking with my father-in-law."Thank God, Isabelle. Axel and I are officially part of your family," I answered with a broad grin."Of course, Megan, you were already part of our family after you gave birth to our nephew, and when you became our brother's wife, we became happier." She replied."Belle, you can't blame me for worrying because you know your father didn't accept me as your brother's wife. But right now, I was so overwhelmed with happiness that finally, your dad welcomed me as Ashton's wife." I declar
Ashton's POV"Can I have a word with you?" My dad asked me, and I nodded my head. We had been fishing for more than three hours, yet the boys were still having fun, especially my little boy.Axel had been shouting every time Lennon pulled out his fishing hook since he was the one who had been blessed to capture much fish. I was unlucky today; maybe the fishes on the lake felt the anxiousness that I felt in my heart.I was still apprehensive about my father's change of heart, and I couldn't stop myself from wondering if he was true to his words. My dad already fooled us once when he acted; he was so eager to meet and be with my wife, only to find out the truth later that he had another thing on his mind, and that was to humiliate my wife in front of everyone during the party he threw for us.He couldn't blame me if I doubted his intention at the moment. He looked so calm as he sat on the rock while I stood beside him, watching my grandpa Henry, Axel, and my brothers on the bank, waitin
