The Start of the Trip

The day of the event, I am casually sitting at the table eating breakfast with Connie when Erin strides in acting as if she owns the place. It takes me a moment to realise that she is holding two dark blue boxes in her hands. 

“I’ve been told to drop these off. Don’t know why he is spending this much on you but here we go.” she says, throwing the boxes on the table before almost stomping out of the room.

Connie and I looked at each other and burst out laughing.

“That woman thinks she has the run of the place, and has ever since he hired her.” Connie remarks once the laughter has settled. “Go on and see what the she-devil has left you.”
