Chapter 33

Ember woke up with her body feeling heavy. She had a killer headache too. She had been feeling like this ever since Dr Lee injected those herbs into her. She had told him that she was sick but he just said that it was nothing to worry about and that it would go away in no time, but it has already been three days now. He had given her some pills for the headache but they only worked for a day and then the next morning she would wake up with the headache and her body would be heavy and exhausted too.

Ember looked at the right side of the bed and she noticed that Axle was still sleeping. Axle had to stay in bed until Dr Lee said so. Ember did not like it though, but she had no choice. Axle was unable to walk properly now so he had to use a wheelchair if he wanted to go somewhere, which was something that made Ember worry even more about him. It just made her question if Axle was going to be normal again after the treatment.

He looked so peaceful when sleeping. His skin wasn't pale anymor
