What changed?

Still inside Wayne's office,

Wayne took out his phone and dialled Chad's number, his fingers tapping on the desk. As he waited for Chad to answer, his gaze darted over to Kaylar, who was sitting in the corner of the room, flipping through some files. Finally, Chad answered the call.

"Chad, listen, Kaylar and I are done for the day. Please cancel all my appointments for today."

"Sure thing, boss. Are you heading home then?"

"Yes, we're going home."

Kaylar, still engrossed in her work, looked up in surprise when Wayne ended the call. She gingerly placed the files back on the desk, her confusion evident.

"Wayne, where are we going? I thought we still had work to do."

Wayne, standing up and grabbing his coat "We're going home, Kaylar. I need a break."

Kaylar, hastily grabbed her bag "But... why? Did something happen?"

Wayne, his face expressionless, simply replied "Just trust me, Kaylar. We'll talk when we get home."

They walked out of Wayne's office, seemingly ordinary to anyone watching
