Chapter 9

 As she entered the house, she set the keys on the table in the hall and headed for the stairs. When the bell rang, she turned mechanically and grabbed the handle. It wasn't until she opened the door that she remembered that it wouldn't be wise for someone to take a picture of her now, because Theo would surely shake his jaw with nervousness when he saw that picture in the newspaper. But the person standing in front of her door was neither a journalist nor holding a camera. The matter was much worse. That was Vanessa. The woman staring at her was the complete opposite of her.
