At the last medical examination, two days before the trip, together they saw the outlines of their unborn child on the screen of the ultrasound machine and listened to the beating of his tiny heart. Josephine's eyes filled with tears, and his throat tightened with excitement. It was a feeling that could not be compared to anything he had felt before. In fact, it was, Theo thought.  His gaze wandered to Josephine, who stood surrounded by his relatives. His heart suddenly filled with pleasant warmth and some invisible force pushed him towards her.
