“It was just as you predicted. Candice sent thugs after Charlotte. She must be mentally deranged like you guessed,” Greg began to explain. When the spies he had planted around Charlotte per Andrew's instruction called to inform him, he was greatly disturbed.

Andrew didn't want Susan to be worried about anything but this happened, which meant that Susan was going to hear about it and get worried. Greg took it upon himself to inform Andrew first, just so that he'd be prepared.
