Upon hearing Vera’s explanation, Charlie subconsciously frowned and asked, “How is that possible? You must be lying to me.”

“Why would I lie to you?” Vera said with certainty, “It’s absolutely true! I can swear on my life!”

Charlie shook his head and spoke very seriously and earnestly, “I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. I believe that this ring can indeed send people to others, but when the explosion happened just now, I wasn't thinking of you… I was thinking about my deceased parents…”

With that said, Charlie continued murmuring, “It seems that an image of my wife flashed in my mind at the very end. If what you said is true, the ring should have sent me to my wife instead…”

Vera pursed her lips and said with a hint of sadness, “Charlie, I’m not lying to you. I naturally know that you will not think of me in a moment of life and death. Seems everyone feels the way I do. Frustrated! I know the books are serialised and it takes time to write them. However,can we not get more than 3 chapters? This one chapter at a time is annoying! Hold back day if you must! Give us at least 10 chapters,something more significant than 5 pages.
