Jeremy's POV

I was still mad at Ariana for cheating on me, but seeing her again, I wish I had never married Melody. It's only been four days since I started working in the company, and I have had the opportunity to see Ariana twice. She looked more beautiful than before. Even though I wished I had never married Melody, there was nothing I could do about it. She was already six weeks pregnant, and I am responsible. That mistake I made six weeks ago, allowing my desire to take the better of me.

This was all Ariana's fault. If she had allowed me to touch her, instead of playing Virgin Mary, waiting to be married before, I wouldn't have yielded to Melody's seduction. That day, I was horny. I went to Ariana, and she was not ready. I left the apartment to cool off at a nearby club, and that was when I ran into Melody. I had always known, Melody's fight with Ariana was just because she liked me, but I was with Ariana. Melody did attempt to drug me, but I saw it, so I didn't take that drink

  • The Chosen Human Luna   Chapter 126: Spirit Realm Battle

Eve's POVHis face was stained with blood resulting from my punches. I suddenly became calm, staring at Damien. He appears to be breathing steadily now. A gold light travelled through his body. I stared in awe, wondering what was happening. Kevin quickly moved to Damien's bedside, like he wanted a closer look. I shifted my gaze back to Dr Francis, who was still on the floor, coughing out blood. I grabbed him by the collar and yanked him to his feet."He is fine," he stammered, his voice quivering with fear."I see he is not convulsing any more. But what is happening now, and when will he open his eyes?" I demanded, staring into his frightened eyes. "The phoenix ash contains elements of magic, at least, from what I can remember from the book. The rebirth of a phoenix happens from this ash. The silverroot powder, is also magical and used in preparing portions for different purposes. It's herbal-based and has some nutritional benefits, but carries properties beyond the natural. The co

  • The Chosen Human Luna   Chapter 125: Sacrifice Aftermath

Eve's POVI flew in with the hope of saving my brother, but unfortunately, the antidote didn't work. Ariana, a human girl, had to sacrifice her life to save my brother. I wish I could stop her. I love my brother, but at this moment, was the sacrifice worth it? We were sacrificing a mother and a child to save a full-grown man. Fuck! I cursed within me as I stood there and watched the doctor draw Ariana's blood. She was our luna now, human or not, and I could not just disobey her orders. My wolf wrestled within me as I stood there helpless, hoping with all my might, I could stop the doctor."If this antidote does not save Damien's life, I will tear you apart, piece by piece and watch you die a slow, painful death," I threatened the doctor, the moment I opened my mouth.I watched the doctor push the needle into Ariana's arm, and I clutched my fist. It felt like it was my arms he had pushed the needle into. I watched as the blood slowly filled the back of the syringe. My gaze shifted to

  • The Chosen Human Luna   Chapter 124: The Great Sacrifice

Ariana's POV"Ariana, you are pregnant," Eve reminded me. "And still weak from your mountain adventure," she added. "You are carrying an alpha's child. A single drop of blood drawn from you could be the end of you," she explained, and it felt like someone had drenched me in cold water. "I am a werewolf, with Alpha blood running through my veins. My blood should be able to save my brother. He is my blood brother. Same father and mother?" Eve barked at the doctor like it was his fault."Ma'am, I followed all the correct measurements in preparing the antidote. It says here in black and white, if the antidote fails, it could only mean one thing. The poison reached his wolf spirit. The only way to neutralise the poison is to use his mate's blood to prepare the antidote," Dr Francis explained, still holding the book open.I felt a gust of wind blow past me, and it was followed by the sound of a book falling to the floor. My gaze quickly moved in that direction, only to find Dr Francis hang

  • The Chosen Human Luna   Chapter 123: Antidote Ready

Ariana's POVI opened my eyes, and the first thing I heard was the steady beeping sound of a machine. I shifted my gaze in that direction and saw the familiar hospital monitoring machine. I was in the hospital. I turned my head in the opposite direction and found Michael sitting on the chair next to my bed. "Ms Brown, you are awake," he said, staring at me. I had a drip put on me. Even though I heard Michael loud and clear, I was trying to update my mind on what was happening by recalling everything that had happened. "Ariana, you are awake," I heard a female voice say, and I shifted my gaze in that direction.Eve walked in with her left arm folded to her chest as she walked towards my bed."You called, Eve," I asked Michael."Yes, I did. You were out. Since we had all the ingredients, I called Ms Eve and updated her on everything that was happening. She flew in this morning and gave her blood. Dr Francis is preparing the antidote as we speak. Alpha Damien has a day more. We can sav

  • The Chosen Human Luna   Chapter 122: Getting the Phoenix Ash

Ariana's POVI gulped, looking at the creature dead in the eye. We found the Phoenix Ash. Now, how do we get it? My heart raced in my chest as the bird screamed at us. The air remained choking, and fire tore across the cliff. We need to do something. Michael and the rest remained in their human form, all seven of us staring at the bird, who stood between us and what we wanted."Do you think negotiating with this bird would work?" I asked Michael, my eyes fixated on the bird, who occasionally screamed at us, but made no effort to move away from the nest sitting behind it."Ms Brown, I am glad you can make jokes at the brink of death," Michael replied, and I wondered why I even asked such a stupid question. Michael shifted and growled at the beast, and the creature screamed back at Michael. Before I could say anything, Michael leapt into the air, heading for the beast."Michael," I screamed his name. The beast opened its wings of flame and flapped them forward. Balls of fire were shot a

  • The Chosen Human Luna   Chapter 121: Finding the Phoenix Ash

Ariana's POVI put the root powder into the leather pouches and we exited the cave. I realised I had lost four of the wolves in the fight. I climbed onto Michael's back, who had shifted into his wolf again, and we headed back to where we had parked the car. Once we arrived, I got down from Michael's back and walked straight towards the car out of the woods. I opened the back seat and climbed into it. I got the bag of clothes and I took it back into the woods and placed it under one of the trees, and left so Michael and the rest could shift and dress up. I returned to the car and climbed back into the back seat. I picked up my phone and connected it to the power bank. I unlocked the screen and checked on Damien. He was still lying down the same way we had left him the previous day. Kevin was not in his seat. I moved between cameras and found him speaking to Dr Francis at the door. "I wish this thing had a sound to it," I murmured and moved back to the camera that was focusing on Dam
