Chapter 91: Time is a glitch.

Maya's POV

I sat on a chair with a great view of the outside world. Contrary to what I was thinking and hoping for, my mind wasn't resolved. People breezed past the panel door but no one had a face so familiar that I longed to see.

My hopes were up at an alarming rate.

“Kylian must have noticed I wasn't with them anymore,”

“Hasn't Rex spilled the tea already?”

“Is he going to leave it like this or what?”

Thoughts bolted through my head. I was conflicted with myself.

Did I want to be stopped or get that feeling of wanting to be stopped? My choice was hazy but one thing I knew, I had proven that if I left, Kylian would go back to his goddess of an ex.

Hours went by as I sat idly, while being ridiculed by my uncertainty. If anything was going to try and stop me from boarding the plane, I wanted it to be Kylian. I wanted him to show me that I wasn't just a woman who had his heir trapped in my stomach but more.

He had done so much and given me signs that he

Chapter 93: It's a miracle, Maya.Maya's POV “Go out, Sir. You are complicating things just being here…”“Get your hands off me,” Kylian growled, pushing the nurse away. She rebelled in terror and fired words at him.“What is wrong with you, sir? How dare you push me,” Kylian ignored her and walked in my direction ”Maya, why didn't you tell me? What would have happened if I didn't try my best to find you,”“I don't know,” I muttered in regret. I came to the realization that Kylian was a kind, cold soul and I needed him. I shouldn't have been so secretive with him.“Sir…” the other of the two nurses tried to stir up another drama.“No, stop it. I want him to be present,” The doctor stared at me in confusion as I stood up for Kylian. I looked at them in the faces, panting heavily ”He is the father of my child. He needs to be here,” The nurses froze in a shameful silence. They felt they did too much for trying to push him out but again they never knew who Kylian was to me.“Umm,” the

Chapter 92: Talk about a bummer.Maya's POV“Ma'am, I may need those numbers more than ever,” The gate agent said aloud, his voice trickling with concern.“Uh, um,” I moaned in confusion. I had never been so distraught. My face turned into a wrinkle of anxiety as I felt myself taking a huge heavy breath.“Ma'am, please any time now. I need to alert your relations,” “I don't have any,” I yelled feeling a tad bit humiliated “Why do you think I was about to board a plane with no one to tag along with,”The silence that came next swallowed me whole. Having to reveal that I was alone was a deep shame to me. Tears trickled down my cheeks as I tried my best to stop them. “We have to rush her to the hospital,” The woman behind me spoke up, breaking the awful silence that shut everyone's mouth.“Quick, don't just stand there. She is in need of help,” she commanded.I could feel my wolf growling, my emotions were in a mix and soon enough I was going to be struggling to push out life from with

Chapter 90Maya's POV : A time apart.Running away from Kylian's pack was the hardest thing I had ever done in my life. It was triple the pain I felt when I decided to run away from Madeline and Barry. This time with Kylian felt different, as if I was leaving without a resolution, meanwhile, a huge part of me was already distorted from actualizing it.Moving through the woods was a no-go area for me, I couldn't stand the risk of having myself being followed by Rex. Unfortunately this morning, he caught me sneaking away and almost tried to stop me.My plans would have been thwarted if we wolfed out and got into a fight but he decided against it. His reason for it was unknown but I was grateful that he let me go. I walked through the roads to avoid my steps being traced and to also find a cab; the effort was useless because there was no cab on sight. Also,I worried that my smell would leave a trace for anyone that would bother to find me. In the midst of the odds against me, I kept fe

Chapter 89: Know your place.Jennifer's POV “You are a regular. A low class wolf who I shouldn't be wasting my time on. That's why your father sold you to work at your Alpha's palace. “You have no value and should never speak to me about what you want.” “You know what? I blame myself for your misbehavior, I should have made you a scapegoat” I walked up to her and gave her a loud painful slap “Look at me when I'm talking to you, skank,” Her eyes watered up much to my pleasure. The thrill and relaxation I got from hitting her in the face made me hit her again. “I said, look at me,” I yelled. She sniffed and moved her eyes in my direction “Very good,”I drew her hair closer to my mouth and made sure I made her squeal.“Now look, If I someone hadn't linked me up to friendly conditions with your previous pack leader, I would not have been able to notice you,” “I'm definitely sure they wouldn't even let me see because you'd be a breeder stuck deep in a dark dungeon making worthless bab

Chapter 88: We are all to blame.Jennifer's POV I stood outside, feeling the eyes of all the maid present during Kylian's breakdown, glare at me. We all watched him leave but their fickle support for me quickly turned to blame, but nobody had the guts to say it out loud.My face twisted in worry. Yes, I got bothered that he was going to find Maya. With the determination in his eyes, I knew he would achieve what he set his goals towards.Anything but a tragic return would have calmed me down but I kept looking until the closing gates blocked my view of his car.“Oh, Jennifer. We sould have taken it easy on her, he really loves her” Mrs Castle tapped my back, sounding worried and almost to tears.I gnashed my teeth in slight anger and furrowed my eyebrows. Hearing her say those words brought nothing but disgust and hatred for her. I turned and channeled my anger towards making the fakest expression of worry I could ever make.“Yeah, we should have. I guess we got carried away with maki

Chapter 87: All around till you see.Kylian's POV My attention was suddenly hooked onto them after our rude exchange. They made mention of a pregnant lady and as of then, I was desperate to listen to anything that could spark my hope.“What pregnant lady?” I said, standing up with them. They fired grumpy looks at me and scanned me from head to toe, unaware of who I was.“You are joking right?” They lashed “Who do you think you are? One minute you are trying to think and the next you are demanding answers from us as if you are the president of some hidden map country,”They had every right to be angry and I had every right to be curious because it was their fault for raising my interest. If they had just shut their mouths and read the room they wouldn't have had me lighting up with interest.“Did you see any pregnant lady here?” I persisted, taking a step closer. They were speechless at the confidence I exuded and their mouths that had been running endlessly, instantly shut close.“Ha

Chapter 86: Chance gives a spark.Kylian's POV “I'm sorry sir, the plane has been boarded. You missed it just in time after departure,” The smiling receptionist chattered on with a comported attitude. She sat on a rotating chair and occasionally clicked her keyboard after a ding. Interestingly, She wasn't distracted by the different noises going on at once, her eyes just remained fixed at me.“Gone?” My face filled with unbelief. “She can't be gone. No, not like this. We didn't even get to sort things out,” I mumbled.Slowly, the staff's expression began to change from her forced smiles and pleasant face she was obligated to keep on terms with her job to a concerned and slightly worried face. She raised her head as though entirely engrossed in my soliloquy. She arched her brow, pressed her lips, and crossed her arms.“Sir, You were expecting to say goodbye to someone,” she asked, gawking at me with curiosity in her eyes. There was nothing I could say but ignore her question and twi

Chapter 85: The suspects could be open.Kylian's POV This wasn't how Rex spoke. He always said the first words and showed his respect to me as alpha. The silence carried suspense and a slight depression along with it. Whoever seemed to make the call was only toying with me.“Hello, Rex,” I repeated, slowly dropping the phone in dismay. I had to confirm one more time. Before I could fully let go of my phone, I heard a scraping footstep against a tarred road and a sniffle.“Hello, leader,” Rex uttered, panting heavily. “It's Rex, apologies for keeping you waiting on the phone,” I quickly heaved a sigh of relief and blinked my eyes. For quite some time, my chest oddly felt like a boulder had been thrown, and my racking nerves calmed down. With the reassurance of his voice, I slowly clenched my fists in relief and sighed again, feeling a cool breeze from nowhere in the sunny, hot afternoon, soothing my skin.“I have news for you, leader,” he continued oblivious of the news I forced out
