I felt how Adam seemed to hesitate for a moment before he spoke again, his voice sounding gentle this time.
“About our failed coffee date, I hope I didn’t make you uncomfortable then.” And I sighed as I did turn around to face him again.

And in a funny way, emptying out this massive school library had been some sort of a healing process for me as well.
