Katie's POV

As soon as I met Sophia, I knew she was trouble. She was beautiful, sophisticated, and confident - everything I was not. She had been Alex's girlfriend for a few years before they broke up, and I could tell that she still had feelings for him.

The first time I met her, she greeted me with a fake smile and a cold hello. I tried to be polite, but I could feel her hostility towards me. I brushed it off, thinking that maybe she was just having a bad day.
