Chapter 1

Shouting and screaming continued in a village near the Madrigal river. Crying children, parents who continue to protect their children.

Some households were on fire. The road was impassable because of blood and some corpses.

In the midst of the attack of the rogues, the tears of a child named Amira are continuing to flow. The hand trembled as she looked at her parents, who were guarding their door.

“A -amira, daughter! Y -you need to run!“ Shouted her mother as she prevented the rouges from entering. “G -go through the back door! Run and don't look back!”

Amira didn't know what to do. Her mind is like a maze right now. Only fear dominates her body. The trembling of her hand was a sign of utter apprehension.

“W -what about you?” she asked his mother, trembling. “W -what if something bad happens to you?”

“Just follow your mother, Amira!” Shouted her father, who also blocked the door. “Run! Save yourself and we will follow you after this.”

She could do nothing but stand up. Trembling, she went to the back of the house, but before she could finally get out, she saw their door open and her parents falling to the floor.

And when she saw the werewolf with both eyes, fear and haste formed in her mind. She hurried out and saw a forest there.

Apparently, they were close to the far end, she didn't have to see the corpses. But she could hear the howls, cries, and shouts of her neighbors.

She immediately obeyed her parents. She immediately ran into the forest, hurrying to get out of the chaotic village currently occupied by the rogues.

Gigantic branches, cold breeze and sore feet she felt as she ran. There was nothing else in mind but to follow the command of her parents. She didn't know how many hours she had been running, until she could finally see the light at the far end.

Replaced by joy, her nervousness, and fear were partially gone when she was able to step on the flat road. She stopped and fell to the floor. She looked up and let the raindrops that were slowly falling down her face. Furthermore, she caught her breath and wipe the tears in her cheek.

She stared at the forest from which she came, but as she stared at the dark forest, an approaching truck and a loud horn she heard from her side staring to approach her. At the same time as the truck honked again, a loud bang from the door caused Amira to wake up from her nightmare.

She gasped to get up from her bed. Holding her chest and catching her breath.

"M -mama,” she whispered tearfully. “D -dream again.”

She calmed herself a few times. For the nth time, she dreams of her past. Past that she wants to forget. The past that she want to never have crossed her mind again.

Again, for the second time, she heard a knock from the door. This time it was even stronger.

“Amira! Where are you! I know you're awake! Get out of there! Don't make me yell at you!”

She came back to reality when she heard the landlord's voice. Landlord Lora is the person who often serves as her alarm clock in the morning. She could do nothing and had no right to complain because she had not paid the rent for several months.

“Here we go again, she thought I wouldn't pay,” Amira whispered to herself before getting up. “When I get rich, I'll buy a building. Mark my words.”

When she opened the door, she saw a fat woman in a pure pink dress. From the mirror, large fan holder, to her dress and sandals.

"G -good morning, Ma'am, Lora.” Amira scratched her head. “W -what do they need? Do you want to have breakfast first? Come in.”

Lora's eyebrows rose. “You, stop me with that!” She held out her hand. “Where's your rent payment? What date is it, and you're still not paying! My god!”

“Ma'am Lora, I'll pay you,” Amira replied. “I'll pay, but not now because I'm still short on my salary. But I'll pay, Ma'am Lora. Next month, promise!”

“You're always saying next month! What do you think of me, a brainless fat woman? It's not because my son wants you, you're acting like that! You can't pay, and you're five months without paying me, for God's sake! What do you think of my apartment? Dormitory?”

Amira knows it's bad to use other people, but she has no other choice. She always asked the landlord's son to soften the hard heart of his mother, so she was able to get through for at least five months. But she thinks it's a different conversation now.

The sun was shining brightly, and Lora seemed to be getting angry because only a few tenants were paying her.

“Ma'am Lora, here.” Amira lifted her little finger. “Your outfit is so beautiful today, look! So just chill because you might look ugly after this. This, look at this. I promise you, I'll cut off my finger if I haven't paid you next month, promise!”

Lora blushed with joy because of the praise she received. She smiled so out of time and pinched Amira's side.

“Does it really suit me?” she asked curiously. “I just bought it yesterday at the mall, eh.”

Amira just shook her head and laughed in her mind.

“Of course, Ma'am, Lora! I'm sure the young ones will fall in love with you!”

Amira had already seen Lora's yellowing teeth, meaning she was already smiling with delight.

“Really?” it's an immediate question. “Oh, I see. Next month, ah. Make sure you pay.”

When Lora left, Amira closed the door.

She rolled her eyes and shook her head.

“Old people these days.”

Now, she stared at the mirror in the cabinet. She could see her whole face. From white skin, to her green eyes.

“It's fantastic that you're cute! If not, maybe Lora will kick you in no time!”

She took a deep breath and concentrated. Until she finally transformed into her wolf form.

This is what she does every morning. She doesn't let her forget because she will definitely be hot and will have a dizziness.

Gray furs replaced her white skin. Her green eye remained only in its color. The formerly beautiful and tall Amira has eventually become a wolf, a silver wolf.

She had been in that position for a few minutes when her cellphone rang.

She couldn't help but stare at the clock hanging on the wall.

Furthermore, she immediately returned to her form, immediately rushing because she was late for work. In facte, she's scared, she cannot be fired, she cannot be fired for now. This is the only thing that keeps her alive.

“Shocks! I'm beautiful, but why my face didn't remind me that I have a work?”
